Give Bill Shatner a Break, Will You?!
3 February 2002
Why do the people trash this movie? It is such a humanistic, emotional film, well, from my POV. I admit there were flaws in the film. What hurt this film was ILM not being available, budget cuts forced by Paramount, and the humor forced to be added because of STIV's box office success. None of these things were Bill Shatner's fault. Bill Shatner's original story was darker, MUCH darker than what we saw.

This film has got a faster pace than ST:TMP or STIII:TSFS, and and it actually tried to make a point on human nature, which was the thing that Generations failed to accomplish. Shatner's ACTUAL direction of the film was OKAY! So I give this film 8.0 stars out of 10.0 stars. And before I finish, I want to say this: GIVE SHATNER A FRIGGIN' BREAK! Thank you, and good night.

You Will Believe...
31 January 2002
You know how the tagline of "Superman: The Movie" was "you will believe a man can fly? Well, my taglines for this show are:

You will believe Kirk Alyn has got more realistic flying scenes than Dean Cain.

You will believe that "Battlefield Earth" is a masterpiece compared to this show.

You will believe that Dean Cain sounds just like a small 5-year old boy huffing helium while getting kicked in the cajones.

You will believe the ashes of George Reeves can kick Cain's ass.

You will believe Cain looks like a Japanese sushi chef.

You will believe that John Travolta (from "Grease") looks more like the Man of Steel than Dean Cain.

Awful, Awful, Awful

Warning: Spoilers
CONTAINS SPOILERS If you believe STV:TFF is the worst trek movie, then you haven't seen this movie. This film's only decent part was with Kirk, Chekhov and Scotty. It became bad from when the TNG crew entered the spotlight. Picard tries to avoid offending the two Duras sisters, and this cost him his ship, some of his crew, the two klingon sisters, Soran, the civilization Picard "tried to save" and worst of all, KIRK!

I don't know what went through that writer, Rick Berman's mind when he came up with the "grand" idea which was, in four simple words: To get Kirk killed. When I thought of Kirk's death, I thought it would be while he was still in command of the Enterprise, not getting crushed by a bridge. When Kirk died, the reborn Star Trek died along with him. If we bring Kirk back, Star Trek will return to its former state of glory. Anything can happen in the Star Trek world! I would give this movie * out of ****

Good Movie
7 November 2001
Warning: Spoilers
This film in the series is a good, lighter side of Star Trek. After two of the film series's darkest movies, this a good combination of both humor and adventure. there are lots of funny highlights in the movie, such as Scotty using a Mac Plus, Spock cursing, Chekhov getting grilled by the F.B.I and much, much more.

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD. IF YOU WANT THE MOVIE TO BE REALLY INTERESTING, DO NOT READ AHEAD.

The film is about around Starfleet's prosecution for Kirk's disobedience in STIII. Meanwhile, Kirk and his crew go through self- imposed exile on the planet Vulcan. The resurrected Spock is now undergoing a great reteaching. Soon, Kirk and his crew vote to go back to Earth and there, begin facing the consequences for the actions. Spock agrees to go with his shipmates to Earth.

But meanwhile, a starfleet ship encounters an alien probe that drains the life out on the ship and goes on a course towards Earth. When the probe gets to Earth, it starts sucking the power of all the ships and stations in the sector. The lead Starfleet officer, Admiral Cartwright (Brock Peters) tells the Federation president that all ships heading towards Earth cannot go to Earth at all costs. While Kirk and his crew are heading home in their captured Bird of Prey, they receive the message to stay away from Earth.

Also, Spock soon realizes the probe is sending a message to the Earth's humpback whales, a race of creatures which have been extinct for 200 yrs. Soon, Spock comes up with the theory they can travel back through time to a point in time in which humpback whales still populated the Earth. Spock prepares the calculations for time travel. Kirk sends a message to Earth, informing them of what Kirk and his crew are about to do.

And then, they travel back in time to what we believe is the year 1986, the film's release year. There, after they arrive, Scotty tells Kirk that they have 24 hrs. worth of power because the time travel sucked out all the energy in the dilithium. Spock says that they could use the protons inside fusion reactors, found on naval vessels. So, the crew splits up into three groups. Chekhov and Uhura go to find the protons neccesary to recrystalize the dilithium crystals in the Bird of Prey. Scotty, McCoy and Sulu go find a way to carry the whales back to their time and Kirk and Spock go and find humpback whales. And that's the movie. I would give this Star Trek movie *** out of ****

Saturday Night Live (1975– )
Great back in the good old days, now it sucks.
30 August 2001
This show used to be so great, but now it is sooooo boring. Even though Will Ferrell adds a tiny bit of humor to the show, it still doesn't make up for the crappy jokes. This show was good, until Norm MacDonald left. Go watch the old episodes shown on Comedy Central for good SNL.
