All That Jazz (1979)

Best musical movie.
16 May 2006
This has to be the best musical to hit film ever. First of all its the story of Bob Fossee......The Man...the choreographer, the legend. Its very inspiring, beautiful, and sad all at once. The drive and insanity behind his perfection is amazing to watch. If you want to see awesome choreography that actually helps tell the story and moves you.......rent this classic. Bob Fossee's lifestyle eventually kills him....and we watch the downfall of the great. Through drugs, cigarettes, caffeine, and anything he can get his hands on he is pushing himself further and further. Even when doctors tell him he is gonna die if he doesn't rest.....we see a classic song and dance about death....talking to angels, and relevations about dying. If you haven't seen this film and want to be really entertained, prepare yourself to see something inspiring. This movie is about life...and sometimes the truth is hard to handle.

Amazing movie...check this out!

Want to see something historical, chilling, thrilling, and entertaining...then you must catch An American Haunting. A film about the Bell Witch haunting which took place in the 1800s.....actually it's the only recorded case in history where a spirit has caused death to a human being. Lots of great scenes in the woods after dark, the creaking of the stairs, the noises, and that black wolf with the piercing yellow eyes. Under the direction of Courtney Solomon.....Donald Sutherland, Sissy Spacek and Rachel Hurd-Wood all do an amazing job telling this story. It's refreshing to see good acting, a real story line, and a film that actually moves forward and builds in action and suspense. You really care about these characters and feel for their torture. I also think the ghost did an amazing job...almost another character in the story....lets give much respect to them for keeping us on the edge of our seats. I also felt the music which was an original score by Caine Davidson....really added to the excitement and drama of this film. I believe in ghosts and you will too after seeing this film. Yes this is a movie for all ages.

Love the cowboy flicks...
29 April 2006
Down in the Valley Wow Edward Norton rocks the screen again playing a cowboy with a very layered and subtle performance. It is beautifully shot and the four main characters are original and yet painfully familiar in their alienation, anger, and despair. The character played by Rory Culkin, "Twig", says very little throughout the film and yet he conveys a sense of yearning and loneliness almost too painful to bare. But even he undergoes an unexpected transformation by the end of the film. The lead is a beautiful creature on the screen. Her relationship with the Cowboy seemed unlikely at first and then became completely believable, especially in the bathtub scene. If you love independent you really will enjoy the artistic quality of this film. There are also several scenes that border on surrealism. This film will leave you thinking and wondering about your life, isn't that what we always would hope for after leaving the movies. My vote is 8 out of 10.
