Evie (2023)
1/10
A whole lot of nothing without explaining
11 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
There was nothing. The mom told the brother to watch after his sister and he doesn't causing her to wander up a cliff for minutes to find a necklace, which the movie was about. And we see the 1 of the few times we see this "water demon".

It was never explained why it was attached to it, or anything

The "good" parts of the childhood were either muted, such as the time she talked to the priest as a child (where the mother slapped her for whatever was said), or it was taken out so the older adult version could "remember" it.

Then after that slap scene, it just all the sudden cuts into her being an adult.

She returns home after meeting her brother and apparently this water demon made her kill her mother by accident when trying to kill her brother as a child, which caused a failed attempt at suicide by the father and landed him in the mental hospital

Then she kills him and the priest because of this water demon that we only seen 1-2 times in the background until she kills her brother saying she isn't alone, revealing the "water demon" which was a normal siren type thing

Then it cuts to a new kid who finds the necklace

Does that mean Evie got killed? Does that mean another "water demon"? I kind of wished it was more coherent in the plot, then it would be good

The acting was ok-ish.

Stupid, boring and slow movie full of stupid characters and decisions
12 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I don't understand why people write characters to be this dimwitted and dumb. The fact that the characters went down the slide after seeing people bloodied saying "don't go down the slide because it's a blood fest and people died" and the character that went down the slide was one of the DUMBEST decisions ever made in a movie I've ever seen and I've seen bad movies with characters making dumb decisions.

I would have been like "well if this is a prank, and you went through the effort to spray yourself with fake realistic looking blood, I'm going to take your word for it because I would rather not go down if there is possibility something could kill me". That's the most logical and reasonable response anyone with a brain could actually have

Then, the adults who are looking after them went to great lengths to not take in the possibility something could happen, such as the old guy not answering his walkie talkie about letting other teams go down? Possibility of something happening not crossed their brains?

Also the guy who tried to warn them of something happening in the slide before anyone went down and being pushed down, was really dumb too. Like I would try to push the dead bodies through and see if I could fit through the edge on the bottom. Some scraps and cuts/slices are better than just sitting there until someone pushes you through and you get decapitated in the process...

But the movie overall was so boring, like nothing much happened until the last 15-20 minutes. I expected something a little more exciting from a slasher film or at least not many people being killed by the same thing. That's just boring.

The Loud House: A Bug's Strife/All the Rage (2022)
Season 6, Episode 4
1/10
All that rage was horrible
2 November 2022
The first part was ok but the second part was just awful

So they used Clyde's rage as a means to win at dodgeball. They constantly made Clyde angry so they can win a game. They put their friend in such mental anguish for a game. Their best friend no less.

Have you ever been constantly angry? It isn't fun! It's like, despite whatever made you mad, you're mad and irritated at everything. It's an awful feeling that I had to cut things out of my life that made me feel angry so much so I'm irritated at everything including my friends, family, pets and hobbies. This is even after I calmed down from being angry. The feelings still stay with you even after you calm down!

But the message here is that the characters were using their friend's rage for their benefit, with no consideration of what the consequences will be to their friend or how he feels. They didn't even realize their wrongdoings until he was going to yell at the principal... then after he said he was disappointed in them, they realize how jerky they were

What the heck type of message is that? Honestly this show seems to be running out of ideas for episodes. They are making their characters so out of character it isn't even funny. Lincoln would never actively use his friend like that. I expect that type of stuff from Lynn Jr, not Lincoln. Shame.

So annoying
12 October 2022
This show and those who like it. None of the 1 star reviews I've read gave 1 stars because they are fat shaming like the 8+ star reviewers claim, they have 1 stars because of the toxicity that is Whitney. She is an awful person. Beauty, for most of us including me, comes from within.

I don't care if you're huge, if your personality is nice I'd think you're beautiful. I don't care if your skinny and seen by many as "beautiful", if your personality is bad, I don't think you as beautiful. Whitney isn't beautiful to me.

I don't care that she is fat, I care that she started the show to become healthy but had multiple excuses and whines about everything since episode 1.

She's doing this for fame and money instead of actually wanting to be healthy and hides behind "I'm trying, see the personal trainer" things. Being fat is fine, trying to be a role model to lie and say it is healthy to be 350+ pounds is not.

I feel like she is stuck within her mind and stuck in a constant loop of excuse after excuse that she actually forgot her original goal, which was supposed to be the goal of the show and the actual good of the shows

Those reviewers who'd say I'm only reviewing so low because I'm "fat shaming" probably aren't even reading this. My belief is those reviewers, like any show or movie that does bad with reviews that has a female role or gay character or whatever (with the "sexist", "homophobic" claims for why their reviews are so low), are only saying we're "fat shaming" without actually reading or trying to understand why we don't like the show. They should actually read some of reviews, maybe they wouldn't claim so many are fat shaming if they actually did.

Would have been good without the puns
6 August 2022
It sounded like it was trying too hard to be something like Freddy Krueger...

And the acting was pretty atrocious. Like some was good but the majority was pretty mediocre.

The only reason it isn't a 10 is
15 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The only person I wanted to die by the monsters was the praying Christian making this movie seem like a god bringing down pain and suffering to everyone and how it's the fault of people who don't believe her stupid babble and "let's murder them because I believe god told me to say and do that" BS.

If it wasn't for this obviously terrible character, the movie would be a 10. I hate movies that have good creepy conveys but are made to be "wrath of god". It's just not that good of a concept imo.

Hot Bench: Episode #7.39 (2021)
Season 7, Episode 39

One of the worst rulings
2 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Family drama where guy cheats on his wife, getting girlfriend pregnant, the daughter is stressed out and the wife (mother of daughter) sees the car (belonging to her SIL, husband's sister) while driving and blanks out and T-Bones the car, diver's side hit because she thinks she is the reason their marriage is failing...

The ruling for that? Nothing for either party because they were to damn caught up in the dumb family drama to not realize... this crazy wife literally endangered people's lives by driving so distraught in the first place (yet they go down on other drivers for being good drivers but don't have insurance... both are bad, so only used as a example of how the judges do one thing one episode but not in another). She literally slammed in their vehicle without thinking about it.

And the plaintive, the SIL, who literally has nothing to do with her brother cheating resulting in getting another girl pregnant and daughter finding out, gets nothing

These judges are not consistent, because episodes in the past and episodes in the future (from this episode) always proved they held drivers responsible for their accidents. Guess that only refers to men driving.

What do you know? Another episode showing how sexist they are.

The Boy 1 now has a generic meaning
10 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Like the original WAS unique, with the man in the walls being behind everything instead of it being a generic ghost possession haunting.

Now with this new meaning of the generic ghost possession behind the sequel it makes the original the same way. The meaning behind the original was just overturned and made the bad guy into "one of many possessed by this evil doll spirit thing to do evil stuff"

Why not leave The Boy original movie the way it was and come up with another movie with a generic ghost possession. That's fine but not when it took an original unique concept and changed it completely. During the original, you're thinking the doll is possessed but by the end of the movie you're left chilling realization that the whole movie was a normal doll and a man living in the walls doing everything. Now that concept is gone.

The movie was good, maybe a 6, but it was not a good movie for the sequel to The Boy. Which is why I have to give it a 1. Wished it was its own movie instead, it's a shame really.

Body Parts (2022)
8/10
It's a great show but
29 April 2022
So I love the show and her artistic ways of matching the prosthetic pieces to those who need them. I like how the show shows the emotional reactions to the people who get the body parts they come to her for.

However, I deeply hate when people treat me like a kid who don't know anything. I hated that when I was a kid and I hate it as an adult. When she said "repeat after me, Anaplastologist." it made me like the show a little less as I feel like she unintentionally treated us like kindergartners that need to be held by the hand.

I still like the show though, just a little less.

Judge Jerry (2019–2022)

Bad when it came out worse now.
11 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Even if these judge shows are fake (the law is real but the cases aren't while the judges, for the most part, and the litigants are, or seemed, actors) the common thing amongst most of them is the judges don't allow the litigants to disrespect each other, the judge and the court they are in.

This is a joke with the first episode I've seen when the show came out, the litigants act like they were on Jerry Springer Show and Jerry Springer didn't do anything to stop their verbal abuse to each other

Stopped watching and now the TV was left on a local news channel and it started. And it was a lawsuit between clowns and mimes. The mime was only miming and the clown was showing off his clown props during the entire case. Barely could focus on the case as it was literally worse. They are mocking the court and the lawyers and he did nothing to stop them and even called it entertaining

This is worse than the UK court show, Judge Rinder. At least he knows when to be professional.

It wasn't bad but the ending reminds me of Signs
7 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The ending reminded me of Signs. They bored up the house. The family eats dinner and starts talking about their children's pasts. That was a complete ripoff of Signs. Which doesn't say much considering Signs did it better since the emotion was there while this one was like a librarian reading a book out loud vs actually reliving a past memory while telling it

It also seemed very rushed, like they just added it in at the last minute

I wouldn't want to watch it again since it wasn't that interesting. The story was there and was good imo but the story fell apart in the filming somewhere. By the acting? But I definitely felt a disconnect since, despite how cliche it was, Signs was one of my favorite alien invasion movies and this taking a scene from it, essentially, ruined the whole movie.

Music is ok, but the message is a little off
22 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Changing yourself for someone else to accept you (be it relationships, jobs, etc). Changing someone else for you to accept them and planning to ruin a child's dream career because she didn't cater to your unreasonable changes

Like I know the message is being yourself but the underlining message that is that being talked about is: it isn't possible for you to do a dream career if you're yourself.

It's messed up tbh.

Edited: I can't believe I used to like this...
29 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The episodes were decent before and easy to get into and listen to while doing something else.

However, the judges are changing (or I didn't see it when I first got into the series a few seasons ago).

Tanya Acker is becoming one of the worst judges of all time. She is nice enough but she is becoming sexist and rude towards men for no reason (and sometimes women but not as much). Like a guy explained something and she got all offended because she knew that something and snapped at him and when his co-plaintive said something, she thanked her and made a rude snide remark about the man explaining something to her. Like grow up. You're a judge. Don't get angry over simple things.

ETA I stand corrected that Judge Acker is becoming the worse it is Dimango. I decided to watch a new episode from today (Monday May 9th, 2022) and Dimango was so snappy towards the male plaintive. He purchased games on his credit card and the interaction was

"How did I know you purchased these games!?"

"On the next page is my receipt"

"How do I know this is your receipt!?"

"It has my credit card number"

"How do I know this is your credit card number!?"

He had his card and was going to give it to the bailiff and the Dimango was like "Then give it, do you think I'm going to take your word for it!?"

He was giving the card, you don't need to be so dang rude!

Dimango made this go down to 1 star from 3. What ever the cause of her being this jerky shouldn't even be allowed on a TV show portraying judge and lawsuits. Fake or not.

Alter Ego (2021– )
5/10
It's really bad but good
24 September 2021
The designs of most of the characters are bad. The thing about 3D models that are somewhat based on real people, there is always going to be a disconnect with eyes. 3D model animation doesn't have expressions and it's horrifying.

The show's premise is really great though, having a 3D animated model alter ego for normal people who are good at singing but something is holding back from performing and this show gives them the confidence to overcome it. That is what I like about the show

If the motions would be more fluid and emotions are added to the expressions like how the normal people are... such as the girl who cried and the alter ego had animated tears but the character is just standing there dead eye staring... creepy! Right now there is a disconnect I can't overcome and that's why it's a 5 star rating for me.

Ghosts of War (2020)
6/10
It was good but the ending.
3 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The movie was good. Though I'd love it if it was just an actual haunting rather than actually having a curse put on them for something they couldn't remember

Even then, that premise would have been alright if the ending didn't mess it up

A simple haunting of ghosts from past wars would have been cool, but the concept was alright except for the system lady who screwed it up in the end bringing the whole movie back to square one. Like come on at least warn the dude before making him go back in the system that he can't remember as he was thinking he could have. That's just messed up.

Biggest waste of time
7 August 2021
It was interesting in the beginning but then the rest was just awful.

What is with the lackluster movies now? The endings either aren't endings like Cop Car (where you don't know what happens), endings that don't make sense to the rest of the movie like What Lies Below (where it's like X happens but Y ends) or endings that resolve nothing like this one.

They all have endings where you don't get it.

Why did they do what they did? Why? No answer? Awful movie. Period.

I can't get into it
29 July 2021
Every single actor is boring an have a single tone of voice throughout the entirety of what I watched.

I could understand if the toneless acting is from Martin, but not every other character.

It might be an ok movie but I can't help but zone out... it's just the voice acting is so boring.

It's not good but it's not bad.
11 July 2021
I watched the first episode on TV (so first 2 15-minute episodes).

It's good for kids but it's also annoying. When children watch cartoons, the animators usually put things in the story (or make the story entire family oriented) so adults can be interested and not bored. This isn't it. Spongebob was and still is, but this spin-off isn't. Which is ok, kids could just have something for themselves

But instead of taking an already existing cartoon and cartoon character to make a spin off series of, why didn't they seize the opportunity to another cartoon with the same concept. Then they could see if it would work as an original series. All Nick is known for now is Spongebob, Spongebob spin-offs, Loud House. They could make original cartoons and see which ones are the most liked, so Nickelodeon has a future instead of Spongebob and its spin offs or Loud House (and spin off)

Besides, taking something currently existing to make a spin off is hard to do right. There are so many inconsistencies, such as Squidina is somehow Patrick's little sister and they just ditched big sister Sam.

Again, the concept would have been good if it was an original cartoon by itself.

This is such an awful show
10 July 2021
I'd rather have a narrator telling what an animal is doing and why instead of pathetic human dialogue that's supposed to be "humorous". I want to watch animals not animals that talk like human children that haven't grown up.

I couldn't get past the first episode let alone the lame advertisement.

Very dumb
4 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The two most stupid characters ever to meet. Chasing a girl because he accidentally hit and killed her friend all the while her dead friend is in the back of his car... How blindly stupid can he get!?

And this girl, oh my god, of all the times to scream for help, she could have yelled out when he was on the phone saying he killed and ran over a dog instead of ran away all scared like she has been the whole movie.

Then the wife sees how beat up her husband's car was and thought nothing when this other cellphone was in the car ringing probably saying "mom's calling" trying to find out where her daughter was?

Give it a hard pass, it's annoying and then pretty predictable like every single time they separate they find each other by accident.

And NO one figures out he was at fault?? His blood and dna must've been all over the area and they blame the two men who weren't there most of the movie?? He accidentally kills a girl and he kills a girl and gets off scotch free because of how stupid the girl was to begin with. Run away. Run to the main road and find help. She had her phone and answered the main guy's call saying "I'll turn you in". Why didn't you call the police!?

Two idiots.

Rugrats (2021– )

The CGI is horrible
27 May 2021
I managed to catch the preview on TV for this.

It's the same as many cartoons that fail. The animation is way too clunky and just watching 2 seconds of it made me dizzy because the background looks like the blurry Rugrats video games for game cube or Nintendo 64

This style makes the characters look dull. In an actual drawn style, they were shown to be full of life and had emotions

Not every classic drawn animation needs a reboot, nor does it need a CGI reboot. Seriously just show the kids the original and they will like it instead of wasting money to remake something that doesn't need to be remade.

It's the same with Blues Clues. The reboot literally has the same episodes and the original is there and should be watched more so than a pointless money-wasting remake.

It's good but
8 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The movie is good, I did like the movie but I swear the worst part is the most unbearable. The main character's constant high pitched screaming over and over and over. Like, she see's the dude's chest tattoo and she screams her loud high pitch scream as if she didn't already figure this guy was the other murderer a scene before. Was it necessary? No. Was it absolutely obnoxious? Yes.

I hate what Netflix does
5 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I absolutely hate seeing a description of a movie and the preview being "movie's like this" then it twists it so much that the description and preview is no longer relevant to the plot.

I wanted a movie about a pandemic thing happening but no, I get this creepy movie about this teacher raping young girls who don't play perfect and this girl being so "I need to save her" by making her chop off her own hand.

It's like they stitched together two different stories and plots that it wasn't enjoyable and all over the place

It would have been interesting if it was just about this virus pandemic

Acting was good tho,
