Tales of the Walking Dead: La Doña (2022)
Worst than World Beyond
I wanted to like it and I understand that this is a different take on the whole Walking Dead stories, but man this made the first episode look like hitchcock. It, IMO, was just unfulling and really didn't feel like it even slightly fit into the WD universe. There's so many unnecessary cliche horror tropes present in the story and plot-holes that never get even slightly answered. Hopefully they won't cancel the series... because I feel like it give WD fans something to look forward to... but I also hope that they strengthen up some of the stories. Acting was on par... but the story was really lacking.
Survive (2020)
Hard to watch
This was one of the worst movies (I watched it as a complete movie) I've ever watched... and I actually like to bad movies (most sci-fi). Nonetheless, it's hard to believe that these two actors were in such a bad movie. The writing and sequences weren't that original and the cliche roles of the characters made this movie pretty unbearable. The completionist in me is the only reason I finished it... at 1.5 speed... just to get it over with. The set building for the crash site was lackluster at best. In at least one scene you could clear see roles and carabiners. I really try to refrain from giving a movie or show anything this low.... but it's just really now good at all.
Seungriho (2021)
A Solid Ride
Space Sweepers is a pretty solid ride with great CGI especially when you consider the budget was around 21mil (USD). I see a lot of people saying that the acting was subpar for some of the cast and supporting cast, but how can you truly gauge it when you're more than like watching it in another language.
It met the expections I have for these Netflix Sci Fi films. If you enjoyed Wandering Earth then you will more than likely enjoy this as well.
Robotropolis (2011)
The "Acting" or lack there of...
I'm actually watching this movie as I type this review. I've watched tons of bad movies, its actually something that I like to do. This movie is absolutely terrible. The best thing about this movie is... gimme a second... well the part where... nope. Okay, there are no good parts to this movie. Terrible writing, terrible directing and terrible acting. I've used IMDb for at least a decade and I've never written a review, but this movie was so awful I felt like it was my duty as a human being to keep others from wasting time. Transparent plot points, disconnected acting, and amateurish CGI and S/FX.
When the first murder occurs at a friendly soccer game, the friends of the slain player (best acting in the movie), stood around not even responding to what had just occurred. Then they all kinda walked of camera as if someone motioned them off. No one stopped to check on the victim. Then the reporter was basically like... "Oh someone just got shot, oh no, we should walk over to the killer robot and investigate, yep he is dead... bye robot.. we'll stand here and watch you walk off." Then the soccer players meander back in ... like "Oh no the robots killed my friend. We are angry, rarrrrrrrr".
I could go on... but I actually think this movie made me physically sick... and if that is truly the case, this physical sickness would actually be better than the movie.
