What I Like About You (2002)
What I DON'T like about you
This show is painful to watch ...
It is obvious that the creators had no clue what to do with this show, from the ever changing "jobs", boyfriends, and cast. It appears that they wanted to cast Amanda Bynes in something ... but had no idea what, and came up with this crappy show. They cast her as a teen, surrounded by twenty and thirty somethings, and put her in mostly adult situations at repeatedly failed attempts at comedy. Soon, they realize that she needs a "clique" and cast people in their late 20s to try to pass as teenagers.
How this show survived 4 seasons is beyond me. Somehow, ABC has now decided that it is a "family" show, and thrown it into it's afternoon lineup on ABC Family.
Coyote Ugly (2000)
100 minutes of my life that I will never get back
To sum it up, this movie is just plain awful!! Piper Perabo couldn't act her way out of a paper bag with a road map ... her biggest feat in this film is trying to see how doe-eyed she can look, or how long she can bite her lower lip and appear naive. Her "performace" was excruciating to watch, and how anyone is able to stomach it is beyond me.
Thanks to this crappy movie, Coyote Ugly has been thrust into main stream marketing, and has lines out the door of drunk tourists paying 15 dollars for crappy watered down drinks.
No plot, poor acting, and trailer trash values ... I give this movie an F!!
The War at Home (2005)
Horrible!!
What Fox's fascination with dysfunctional families, made up of mean, obnoxious, spoiled kids, and parents who are determined to be cool, as opposed to being a parent?? I'm sorry, I don't get it. The one episode that I was barely able to stomach watching involved one of the kids demanding a Bar Mitzvah, with the intention of getting thousands of dollars in gift money. Of course, the idiot mother decides that her precious little junior has to have the biggest and bes-test party of all, and has no problem dropping 20 grand on the big event. The ditzy, brain dead, boy crazy teenage daughter bounces back and forth between wanting to be Jewish and then Catholic, when she see's the "cute" religious tutors.
The one borderline "heartwarming" moment in the entire episode, was when the putz of a father, who has been convinced the entire time that the Bar Mitzvah is solely a money making scheme, see's the son studying his Hebrew lessons, and is momentarily duped into thinking that perhaps, his conniving offspring is being sincere about the right of passage into manhood. This warm, fuzzy feeling is immediately ripped out of his chest when he informs junior that since he has not yet had a bris, a certain "procedure" needs to be performed. The Bar Mitzvah is called off, and the mother is out several thousands of dollars when the kid refuses to comply.
This show is garbage, and I am saddened that I shall never get back the 23 minutes of my life I wasted watching this piece of crap, because nothing else was on TV ...
Most Haunted (2002)
Laughing Stock!!
This show is SO utterly unbelievable that it is hysterical!! Seriously, it is so BAD that it is embarrassing. ***SPOILER***I have noticed a trend in "names" of the spirits whom "embody" Derek Acorah, or whom he senses. What are the odds that some male named William, Edward/Edmond, John/Jack/James, or George, once lived someplace that is hundreds of years old?? Aren't those some of the most common names of historical Britain?? I consider myself to be an open minded skeptic. Show me concrete PROOF that something paranormal exists, and I will believe it. This program relies purely on the showmanship of a fake "medium" and the over reaction of an impressionable hostess. If you're looking for a program that shows you evidence that can NOT be disproved, this is not it. I suggest "Ghost Hunters" on the SciFi Network. If anything positive is to be said about "Most Haunted", the show is comical.
Grounded for Life (2001)
What a horrible show!!
I'm sorry, but this show is mindless and obnoxious. What is the fascination with smart mouthed, bratty kids, and parents who put more emphasis in being their children's friend over being A PARENT?? The one and a half episodes that I was subject to watch had overly predictable plots and dialog. Two thumbs down for the show's writing staff. I wish that I could get a refund for the time that I wasted watching it. It was 45 minutes of my life that I will never get back. This show is NOT funny. It was a sad reminder of the lack of ethics and morals of our society. You could not pay me enough money to make me watch this garbage ever again.
