Oblivion (2013)
L. Ron Hubbard anyone?
This movie makes absolutely no sense. Its nonsense. The best scene is when Tom Cruise is looking at his vinyl-collection and there ist Blue Oyster Cult. Cult is what this movie is about, Scientology cult. No suspense, no nothing, just believing in a "higher god", of course played by Morgan Freeman. Is Morgan Freeman the new Tilda Swinton or Adam Driver? He appears in every second movie. Ok, I adored Morgan Freeman in "Shawshank Redemption" but enough is enough. He is 86 now. Congratulations. But are Tilda Swinton, Adam Driver, Morgan Freeman and of course Tom Cruise part of the same cult? I guess so.
Ocean's Eight (2018)
Cate Blanchett, in a C-Movie, really? May be okay for Rihanna.
"It's not funny, the characters aren't charming, and worst of all for a thriller - there's no suspense. Even the sound tracking lacked punch. The characters also lack believability - they don't convince anyone they are criminals, hackers, grifters or anything of the sort. I can't really think of anything good to say about this film - it'll genuinely put you to sleep." No more words, thanks drael64! It's an awful C-Movie, super duper boring, I fell asleep while whatching this. Why is Cate Blanchett starring in this? Didn't she read the script? Anne Hathaway, okay, but Rihanna needed the money..
Jason Bourne (2016)
A faded Xerox copy
In the murky depths of the cinematic sea, where espionage thrillers swim in abundance, "Jason Bourne" emerges as the great white shark of mediocrity, its dorsal fin of clichés cutting through the ocean of originality. Director Paul Greengrass and his amnesiac assassin, Matt Damon, reunite for the fourth time in this franchise, but the once-potent concoction of shaky-cam action and amnesiac intrigue has lost its edge, leaving audiences with a lukewarm serving of déjà vu.
The film begins with the titular character, Jason Bourne, holed up in a gritty European city, living off the grid as he navigates the labyrinth of his forgotten past. Despite the promising setup, the narrative quickly devolves into a checklist of espionage tropes so familiar that even a seasoned spy would struggle to feign surprise.
Damon, who once injected a sense of vulnerability and depth into the character, now seems to be going through the motions. Bourne's expressions, once a canvas of conflicting emotions, have become as predictable as a spy trying to outrun an explosion. The stoic determination that made Bourne compelling in earlier installments has been replaced by a weariness that feels more like the actor's own boredom with the character.
Greengrass, known for his kinetic and visceral filmmaking style, continues his frenetic approach to action sequences. The dizzying car chases and bone-crunching hand-to-hand combat, while technically proficient, lack the freshness that made them groundbreaking in the past. It's as if the filmmakers are stuck in a loop, endlessly remixing the same beats without adding anything new to the melody.
The supporting cast, including Alicia Vikander as a cyber-savvy CIA analyst and Tommy Lee Jones as a gruff agency director, adds little to the mix. Their characters are mere pawns in a convoluted game that seems more interested in revisiting past glory than forging new ground. Julia Stiles, reprising her role as Nicky Parsons, serves as a reminder of the franchise's better days but is given little to do beyond nodding knowingly at Bourne.
One can't help but wonder if the filmmakers are suffering from a Bourne-induced identity crisis. Is this a desperate attempt to recapture the lightning-in-a-bottle success of "The Bourne Identity," or simply a contractual obligation to churn out another installment? The answer remains elusive, much like Bourne's memories.
In the end, "Jason Bourne" feels like a faded Xerox copy of its former self-a carbon imprint of a franchise that once redefined the spy genre. As the credits roll, one can't help but feel a twinge of nostalgia for the days when Bourne was an enigma worth unraveling, rather than a tired relic struggling to stay relevant in a post-Snowden world.
Glass Onion (2022)
okay, some insider-jokes (musk, etc.).
While the cast is great (though janelle monae should have been replaced by little simz) there is no tension at all. No dramaturgy. And in the end just boring. The Gray Man (2022)
is this the worst wannabee james bond franchise ever?
I was looking forward to this movie, finally, i thought, netflix is having a moment and is worth my money. 200 millions for this crap? Ok, should have known better. Just saying: ryan gosling... (the man with only one face expression). And the story is also confusing as hell. Official nominee for the Golden Raspberry Award a/k/a Razzie.
Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area (2022)
What a Waste of Money!
Can't understand why Netflix produced this. It's just Copy/Paste from the Original Series. Like a bad cover song. Copy/Paste: Can't understand why Netflix produced this. It's just Copy/Paste from the Original Series. Like a bad cover song.
Mario Barth deckt auf! (2013)
embarrasing
If i could give 'minus 10 points' for this "show", i would. Mario barth is the worst comedian of all time. Not funny. Making jokes about other people who can't defend themselves because they're not famous or rich. Or they are females... his playground, making jokes about females. What a simple mind he is.
La sombra de la ley (2018)
Clichés all over the place.
It's a bad movie, to be honest, must have cost millions, but it's not worth a penny. The setting is okay, but the DOP and the director do a horrible job. I'm asking to myself, has this movie a professional screenwriter?
Tschugger (2021)
simply the best
First of all: I don't know the director, the producers, the actors. But this is crazy stuff with a lot of inside-jokes. May the best series that was filmed and produced in switzerland. I am sure there will be a netflix or whatever us-remake. Better than fargo.
