Chippa (2019)

Quite simple but holds the interest till the last scene.

Movie is about a boy (Chippa) who run's away on his 10th birthday with a letter written by his father. Thought the story is short and simple but the way in which this movie is narrated or I can say the way in which the movie proceeds holds the viewers interest.

The only major issue which I noticed in this movie was the use of the name of hindu god Hanuman ji in a place where makers of the movie should have tried to avoid using.

Sunny Pawar who played the role of Chippa has perfectly played it. Other actors like Chandan Roy Sanya, Ronjini Chakraborty and Sumeet Thakur ha played there part well but they have a very small on screen appearance.

Sunny Pawar who plays the role of Chippa steals the show and another character which I found intresting and memorable was the taxi driver played by Sumeet Thakur.

The Stoneman Murders (2009)

A nice blend of reality with fiction.

This movie is based on the real event which occurred in mumbai in 80s and later in kolkata and the makers of this movie has blended the facts of that event perfectly with fiction to come out with an entertaining story.

The story revolves around Mumbai where few police men are trying to solve the stoneman murders. Kay Kay Manon has played his role well as a policeman. Even Rest of the cast shares a small screen time but their work is good except Arbaz Khan who somehow fails whenever he appears on screen in this movie.

Malang (2020)

Good but too much predictable plot.

Though the movie could have been a lot more better if it has a bit less running time instead of 2 hours and 11 minutes because story is short and could have been told in less duration. Another problem with the movie is that it has too much predictable plot so most of the people watching this movie comes to know the ending in the evry starting of the movie. One more thing which disappointed me a bit was the back story of Michael character played by Kunal Khemu, it was like a joke and according to me also one of the reason which made this movie not much compelling.

Jhalki (2019)

Simple but beautiful depiction of reality.

It is simple story of a girl (jhalki) trying to find his brother though it will not let you down while watching the movie. This movie showcases lots of social problems like poverty, child labour, children trafficking but even after showcasing all these the makers of the film succeeds in keeping the tone of the movie neither too dark nor light.

Story of the movie revolves in the towns and villages of Bihar and captures it perfectly not because of its location but due to the accent in the characters of the movie intracts weach other. I have seen few other movies revolving around Bihar like Super 30 but it fails as the lead actors were unable to get that Bihari accent but int movie (jhalki) it's not the case.

The most important part of the movie is the character of Jhalki played by Aarti Jha whome we see's going through different emotional states which is captured perfectly. Other actors like Divya Dutta, Sanjay Suri and Tannishtha Chatterjee has also played there role very well.

Few lines said by Kalash Satyarthi at the end of the movie also adds a charm in the movie.

Can You Ever Forgive Me? (2018)

Slow but good

There is nothing much to say or tell about story because it is very simple and from very starting a viewer comes to know how the movie is going to end. Though the movie does not have any twist or any funny scene in which the viewers are going to laugh out loud but then also while watching there is less chances of a person getting bored while watching this movie. The way in which the story is narrated and the acting is one of the good things of this movie. There is nothing much to say about this movie but if you have free time this weekend, then you can try watching this movie.

Togo (2019)

Story of a lead dog.

When i watched the trailer i thought that Togo was going going to be just a average movie but i was wrong. It's a great movie which i never expected it to be. Togo has a simple story but based on a true story of a incredibly brave dog (Togo) and his owner. The movies story runs around the Togo and it's owner played by Willem Dafoe who does proper justice to his role. Most of the aspects of the movie is good. Specially the location and the cinematography. Overall this movie is good. Far far more good than I thought.

A Silent Voice: The Movie (2016)

One of the best anime move which i have watched.

I am a Anime fan, i have watched a lot of Anime movies which are having higher rating then this one but if asked to me i will rank this one on the top. This movie has simple but beautiful story. The movie will not make you feel bored even for a single second. The story and the characters are so nicely portrayed that while waching i was lost in the world which the film maker tried to create. Every aspect of the movie is nice and the story is a lot near to the reality which makes it different from most of the Anime as most of them are fantasy or science fiction but this one is not. The movie tells us about what true friendship means, need of friends in life and a lot more life related stuffs and lessons.

Ghost Stories (2020)

Out of all 4 only the third one directed by Dibakar Banerjee was interesting.

Thought the first story directed by Zoya Akhtar was having a good potential to do well but somehow after 12 to 15 minutes the story loses its interesting factor and becomes boring. The second half of first story somehow fails to satisfy what the viewers what to see.

The second story which is directed by Anurag Kashyap is the worst out of all four. From very starting the story is being dragged and when it comes to ending most of person who will watch it will feel that it was rubbish. One thing which i am still wondering about this story is that why it was black and white.

The third story directed by Dibakar Banerjee is the best one out of four and has something different to tell which we haven't seen much in Indian movies or web series. Dibakar Banerjee has made his one in a nice way so that the viewers doesn't feel bored which watching. His directing and cinematography style is good.

The fourth and the last story which is directed by Karan Johar is ok but somehow while watching i felt like it was narrating a too common story which i have already seen in lot of movies/series/short film. Over its story was very predictable.

Overall if i asked to me about the whole movie ( 4 stories together) i will say that get boring from the very beginning. Only a small portion of the movie is good which is Directed by Dibakar Banerjee.

Good Newwz (2019)

Another good move by Akshay Kumar

Each and every actor in the move has played a great role but somehow if asked to me Akshay Kumar steals the attraction of the movie by his punch line and comic timing. Most of the funny lines in the moves is Said by Akshay Kumar. Diljit Dosanjh also playes his role well specially when it comes to his laughter which was pritty hilarious. Most of the songs are good but there is hardly one of them which you will remember even moving out the of the theatre. Though the statements and the dialogue in the move are bold but there is nothing vulgar in the movie. Overall it's a good package of fun and laughter to see this new year.

Jojo Rabbit (2019)

Seen a good comady /drama based on world war time period after a long time.

When it comes to world war there are a lot good movies out there. But very few of there a comady. And even out of these there are very few one which we could say that it's a good comady movie based on world war and this is one of them. The thing which makes this movie different from rest of world war movies were that most of the world war movies either shows people fighting in the war for their country or misery of people leaving in that time period( in short basically the serious stuff). Though in this movie also those serious stuffs are being showing but the way in which the story moves on makes them funny and some times emotional also. The second thing which i liked about thing one was that there are very few movies depicting the world war through the eye of a child and that also of a Nazi kid makes it more special. The funny interaction of the Jojo and the Hitler also adds a charm in the movie. Overall this movie is good and is not going to make you feel bored even not a single time. This movie is just flawless.

It's a Wonderful Life (1946)

One of the finest black N white movie which i have seen.

When it comes to back N white comady drama, the thing which comes in our mind is a simple story with a lot to illogical and mindless funny sceans but this one is not like. Though story is simple but its narration and the acting by the movie's cast makes it good as well as different from most of the movies of its time. This movie has a lot of things to learn from. George Belly is amazing and a person who sees this movie can't forget his character.

Bird Box (2018)

Though a good movie but a lot of things undefined.

Overall the movie is good but after watching it at i felt that a lot of things were not cleared about its plot. One of the major thing not reveled was when everyone who looks at certain(unknown thing) they turns suicidal. But there are a group of people to who this does'nt affects and they forces others to get infected by virus. Who were these people ? Why did'nt they got affected by virus ? Why they were doing so ? This things are not told even when the movie ends.

Laal Kaptaan (2019)

One of only its kind which portrays Indian wild wild west

Though it is a simple revenge story but the way it is narrated and the environment in which story is set makes this movies a nice movie experience. Saif Ali Khan is the best as well as the main part of the story. After seeing this movies i can't imagine someone else insted of Saif. Overall the movie is good but this movie is not going to be liked by everyone as this one only apples to a small number of audience.

Doctor Sleep (2019)

Perfect sequel of the shining.

I didnt expected this one to be so good specially after seeing bad sequels of horror movies like Annabelle and It chapter 2. This one gives you a perfect conclusion of its first. Thought the movie has a completely new story but its connection to the previous one is wonderful. The acting of all the lead cast is also good. And another factor which adds a charm in plot is the overlook hotel

Apharan (2018– )

Good a lot more than what i expected from altbalaji.

This web series is fabulous. The old movies songs as the background music is one of the best part of the series and makes even a serious sequence funny. Another nice element it the acting by the lead actors. Dialogue some times becomes quit remarkable and funny. The suspense at the end lets the viewer a bit down but over all this series is good.

Dream Girl (III) (2019)

Another good one by Ayushmann Khurrana.

This one is full of funny stuffs and a lot enjoyable movies especially because the action of Ayushmann Khurrana and Annu Kapoor. Both Annu Kapoor and Ayushmann were brilliant in there role as well as the most rememberalble part of the movie. Other actors in the movie has also done a good role.

The Final Call (2019– )

A nice one but not as good as expected.

By seeing the first episord i was expecting a lot more thriller and drama in its upcoming episord thought drama was there but the thrill and suspense was very predictable. Even certain reasons behind what Arjun Rampal was doing was a bit unbelievable and a bit of dumb also. The other lead actors were good in there role and overall this web series was not as i expected but it was good.

Section 375 (2019)

Good but dark. Shows ugly side of our society.

Movie overall is good and holds you on you seat till the movie ends. Screenplay is good and never drags or makes you feel boarded while watching. Acting in the movie is brilliant and one of the best part of the movie. The story is short and good takes new turns a lot. The conclusion of the movie is the best part which shows both the good and ugly aspects of the society. Though movie is not based on a true event or story but then also somehow we can't deny that this types of things dosen't takes place in our country.

Bard of Blood (2019– )

Not a bad web series.

I am saying this one a not a bad series because in hindi language i have seen this type of story line and theme for the first time. Few people are even telling this one bad or boaring as it started streaming with amazon primes Family man, they are comparing this one with Family man but both are entirely different. I am not saying bard of blood is a brilliant series but yes its definitely not bad.

Atonement (2007)

One of the best love story movie which revolves around the world war.

The narration of the movie is slow and in first half it feels like it has many plot holes but as the movie proceeds then the plot holes becomes clear and brings certain twists. The was of narration was a bit different as compare to most of the love story which makes this movie special. And the best part is the Dunkirk evacuation sceans which is a single take long sequence but nice and flawless, its one of the best thing in the movie.

Se7en (1995)

I am just speechless after watching thus movie.

The theme of the movie is so dark that at certain points in the movieI felt like stop watching this one but its way of narration and the suspense does'nt let me do so. David Fincher has made this master piece in such a way the it will not make you feel boarded at all . The ending of the movies was the best as well as the darkest part of the movie which revolves in the viewers mind even after the move ends. Its one of the best Drama/Mystery movie I have seen. Overall this movie is outstandingly brilliant.

The Family Man (2019– )

Best Indian web series till now

I have never seen such a flawless and brilliant web serise especialy an Indian one. Most of aspects of the web series are brilliant its not good to compare thing one with any other web series. One of the reasons which makes this one good is brilliant acting by all of the cast and especially Manoj Bajpai. Manoj sir is even the best part of this series and also the reason which makes this one a great series.

Waste of time

I dont know what makes this movie bad maybe its because of the bad story line, bad direction, bad acting, bad CGI and VFX and all the other factors. A good start cast is wasted in such a manner that most of us even can't imagine. Most of the race of chase sequences are CGI and VFX which looks like cartoons in live action movie. There is a huge list about the things wrong in this movie.

Its a nice one and Ayushmann Khurrana is brilliant in his role. The move is ful of fun and drama which makes it a must watch movie. I haven't seen Ujda Chaman so i dont know which one is better but regardless of that movie is good and a nice one to watch if you have some free time. Overall movie is good.

Vishwaroopam (2013)

Good movie but I expected a bit more

It was a good one but there were certain huge problems with the movie like its direction. Though the movie is good but then also at certain points in the movie while watching you will witness a weak direction. The another problem is taht in the first half of the movie it offers a lot of things which does'nt gets fulfilled at the end. I expected a lot more from this movie but it somehow does not offers that much but then also the overall movie is good and watchable.
