Resident Evil 6 (2012 Video Game)
6/10
It was fun to play in co-op mode. I just wish there had been more of a campaign.

WHAT POSITIVES?

A lot of weapons. Interesting storyline makes you think. Interesting varied sequences of fights with bosses.

WHAT NEGATIVES?

Quicktime ivent's were sometimes very difficult and appeared for a split second. The sensitivity of the mouse left a lot to be desired and there was no way to change it in the settings. Changing the camera often made the character change direction (and that doesn't help in time escape sequences). Timed missions were almost impossible in co-op.

UNTAPPED POTENTIAL!

If the game had more chapters or some FABULAR additional content then RE6 would only benefit!

Malasaña 32 (2020)

Is "Malasaña 32" (2020) a good horror film?
3 October 2023
"Malasaña 32" is a film that introduces us to the atmospheric world of horror in a great way. Director Albert Pintó, once again proves his skill in making horror films. The film's Halloween premiere was an apt choice, and scaring the audience proved to be its forte.

The beginning of the film is the moment that draws us into a story based on true events. Although the narrative scheme may seem familiar, it is the way it has been transformed for the screen that delights. The plot unfolds dynamically and each new element of the story keeps the film gripping from the very beginning. This is not another clichéd attempt to scare the audience, but a truly complex narrative that avoids easy solutions.

One of the greatest strengths of 'Malasaña 32' is its unique atmosphere. Spanish horror filmmakers know how to create an eerie atmosphere, which is also evident in this film. The night scenes are perfectly lit, so that the audience does not lose sight of any details. The director operates the camera perfectly, creating the impression that we are right in the middle of the events. These treatments are reminiscent of james wan's spectacular productions, which further emphasises the high visual level of 'Malasaña 32' and creates an atmosphere of unease that accompanies us throughout the screening.

Pintó also does not shy away from the "jump scenes" popular in horror cinema, i.e. Sudden and frightening moments that can give you goosebumps thanks to their engaging atmosphere. It is these moments of tension concentrated in a single moment that make the audience squirm in their seats. However, and this is worth emphasising, these scenes are at times so intensely accumulated that it is difficult to resist the feeling of constant unease, as the director manages to construct them in a surprising and unpredictable way. They are what make 'Malasaña 32' an extremely emotional experience that is difficult to tear away from the screen.

It is also worth appreciating the excellent acting, which plays a key role in conveying the atmosphere of the film 'Malasaña 32'. All the actors involved in this production play their roles with extraordinary commitment and conviction, which undoubtedly adds great authenticity to the story. Their believable performances allow the audience to empathise with the psychological underpinnings of the characters and vividly experience their emotions and experiences. This is a key element in the horror genre, where skilful acting can heighten the tension and feelings of unease, making the audience feel the horror along with the characters.

Thanks to the convincing acting performances, the film 'Malasaña 32' gains credibility and the audience easily establishes an emotional connection with the characters. It is through this authenticity that the fear and anxiety of the characters during their terrifying experiences can be explored more deeply. The actors have an excellent understanding of their characters and are able to elicit identification and sympathy from the audience, which translates into a more engaging cinematic experience.

However, the film is not without some shortcomings. Some moments seem pointless or poorly developed, which can introduce some confusion into the plot. An overabundance of superfluous characters can also be a problem, as some of them fail to make a significant contribution to the developing plot or contribute to confusing the story. Focusing on key themes and reducing the number of characters could have made the film even more compelling and narratively coherent.

"Malasaña 32" is a very atmospheric horror film that deserves the attention of fans of the genre. The plot idea and dynamic action keep the viewer in suspense throughout. Although it is not a masterpiece, it will certainly provide a dose of fear and excitement. It is worth giving it a chance, especially if you like scary moments and atmospheric horror films.
