Filled with hate
14 May 2023
I was wondering how this show was so bad and still rated a 6.5 until I realized I was looking at the original, which my wife really loved. She talked me into watching this with her and we were appalled and disgusted. The level of hate the writers and producers of this new version have for one specific type of people is insane.

This is the show that literally was the last straw for my family and we cancelled our Disney / Hulu subscription after watching this.

The writing was horrible, and worst of all it was clearly done by a team of people that are obsessed with hating on a certain type of people.

Finally
14 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Finally a Dungeons and Dragons movie that is worth watching more than once. This one was made with an effort to stay close to lore and actual rules of game which makes a huge difference to people who play.

I have seen a lot of dungeons and dragons movies over the years and sadly most of them were so bad they were hard to finish the first time. This one I saw twice in theaters and the whole family loved it.

The part in the middle (Spoiler) - where the spell goes wrong and pine just melts while in the middle of spell goes wrong , brate, brate, brate, braaaaaa had us laughing so hard.

Highly recommend.

Great for Family
28 December 2022
It is rare to find a sequel that is just as good as the original, but this one pulled it off.

What a great show to take the family to. It was so refreshing to see a movie aimed at children that just told a good story and didnt needlessly force an agenda (that is far above their heads and the age rating) that has nothing to do with with the story into it like Disney and Pixar does now on every release. I dont even know any parents that are comfortable letting their children watch Disnar movies anymore without watching them first, and that is beyond sad.

Take notes Disney and Pixar, since you obviously have no clue anymore, but this is the good enjoyable entertainment that families want to see.

Heavy on the gore

What if superheros were real, and corporations were pulling their strings. That pretty much sums up this show. I love the idea, because it is probably how it would really end up playing out.

Its a good watch but the gore is over top. Like tarrantino neck wound over the top.

This is the one to watch
4 January 2021
It is cheesy at times but holds very true to the original story and was directed by someone competent which cant be said for the new one.

I have read the book and the extended version King released later and would suggest reading the original Stand he released first, then watch this movie.

Forget the 2020 remake even exists, much like 2020, its a dumpster fire.

Way Back When...
4 January 2021
One of the oldest tales known to man, told through a tale with CGI so good it holds up 20 years after its release date. That is how I would sum up Beowulf.

If you havent seen it you should. If you have, watch it again and remember why you thought it was so good the first time around.

Incredible
4 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This was done so well.

I read the book, watched the original when I was young and I have watched this series 3x over now with my daughters. Great telling and holding to the original story.

This story is a fantastic way to introduce your children to some of the unfortunate and darker sides of life and death, while still having a feel good ending.

Too Much Gore, too little character development
3 October 2019
After hearing about this movie during production, I was looking forward to it for some time.

There is a really great story to be told here. Unfortunately, it was replaced with scenes so over the top gory most people will find themselves looking away and waiting for the squishy sounds to finally stop so they can look back.
