"Gilligan's Island" can beat this film any day of the week. This movie is so lame and sad! Who thought of this bogus film in the first place anyway? The most boring part of the whole film is, when Tom Hank's character is marooned on the island and lost in the sea all by himself! I think the writer should've had a native, like Friday from Robinson Crusoe, befriend Tom Hank's character, live on the island, and try to get to civilization together. Once they're at civilization, they could live together and have adventures. (SPOILERS AHEAD) Instead, he pretended a volleyball was real and it ended up getting lost at sea. I'm also angry that the guy does'nt get the girl at the end. Instead, he leaves her with her family and might go after the girl he met at the crossroads (SPOILERS OVER). The movie's message is "Life is full of adventure. Go out and find it." The only message it taught me was to never write films and, maybe, books as bad as this.
