North Shore (2023)
Odd
Bit odd.
I'm not sure what to make of this series given the fact you've spoken about things that seem so unnatural to the story. Why do I need to know that hormones are allowed in Australian meat, but not in British meat? What is your point?
Why do you keep bringing up, repeatedly, about the farming/meat standards being inferior in Australia compared to other countries? It seems very unnaturally placed in the script like you're trying to make a point?
Loved watching this for Max's character and the actor who plays him. As for his "boss" and her angst and unfriendliness, it seems a bit-well, cringe.
Marie Antoinette (2022)
Best period drama in a while
This is the best period drama I've come across in a long time. A lot of effort has gone into the hair, makeup and costumes and it shows. Even the quality of cinematography is super high.
Marie Antoinette is likeable in this series and comes across as vulnerable at many times which makes her a lot more relatable. I couldn't care about the historical inaccuracies. The storytelling is what's brought me and kept me here.
I've watched many shows with a horridly slower pace. This isn't one of them. It's at a perfect pace that isn't too chaotic or too slow to make you lose interest.
If I wanted it to be 100% factual, I'd watch a documentary.
Resident Evil (2022)
So much teenage angst
I'll admit, I wasn't surprised to see so many low reviews on here. 10 minutes into the show and the teenage angst is so cringe it's embarrassing to watch.
My favourite part was the main character whinging about the lack of diversity in the neighborhood. Classic Netflix.
Why would you reduce such a long lasting franchise to this?
