Silent Night in Algona (2022)
Not Hollywood...but that makes it better.
This movie was very well written. I am a history fan so I eally enjoyed its the historical nature. The storyline really recreates the stuggle and fear of that time. It makes each of us think about our own fears that turn into bigotry.
We need more movies that like this that tell us to think...not what to think.
The actors did an excellent job of telling the story without you thinking they were "acting". Keep an eye out for future movies staring the child in this movie. He did a great job and I think he has a future as an actor. It seems that every movie the DJ Perry writes is better then the previous movie. He is truly perfecting is skills.
MBF: Man's Best Friend (2019)
Powerful!
The story is moving and the acting is captivating. It is a truly believable movie that could happen in any town across America. It brings to light many issue ranging from the struggle veterans have when returning home, to the struggles today's youth have between deciding to do what is right instead of what is easy, to the real discrimination that persons with disabilities face each day. You do not have over the top special effects or huge actors with big egos. You do get to see a star from "Happy Days" was cool, but what was more cool was seeing an appearance by an actually veteran who suffered a disfiguring injury while fight for our country. Here you simply have a compelling story that may actually change the way you think about certain situations and may actually change the way you react towards others.
