One Word - Nauseating!

SPIN THE WHEEL! is shouted by the host, and for what seems like thirty minutes, the wheel spins, and spins, and spins. Then the contestant wheel spins, and spins, and spins. And the viewer's brain spins, and spins, and spins.

If this review sounds repetitive and monotonous, that's because this show is repetitive and monotonous. There is very little game play, a lot of shouting. It's a panel show trying very hard to be a game show, but failing on all counts.

The Orville (2017–2022)

Now THIS Is Star Trek!

It was a little slow getting going, but this show is miles ahead of what passes for Star Trek on CBS All Access. Discovery and Picard can't decide decide whether they're Game of Thrones, Firefly or a mish-mash of any number of science fiction/fantasy shows. The Orville knows it's Star Trek and is trying to be nothing else.

I finally was able to watch the entire series thanks to a free quarantine Hulu pass. It's hopeful, intelligent and thoughtful, without smacking you across the face with its dystopian political agenda, a la Picard and Discovery.
