Don't Blink (2014)

Best movie I've seen in a long time

I don't understand the bad reviews. I'm actually shocked it came out in 2014 and I just came across it now. A group of friends show up at a rental cabin and immediately realize something is off. Water running, half eaten breakfast, it seems like everyone just got up and left in a hurry. No birds, insects, or wildlife. Then the group starts disappearing one by one. That's all I'm going to say without revealing any spoilers but I loved that the premise wasn't over explained with a lot of back story, I thought it made it scarier. Ignore the reviews and give it a chance. The acting is surprisingly good too.

Busta Rhymes ruined this movie

It's a complete disgrace to the franchise. It didn't even attempt to be scary. It's like a 2 hour long running joke and they only one that is amused is Busta. Skip it altogether.

It Chapter Two (2019)

CGI ruined this movie

What the hell happened?? The first chapter was fantastic. While I realize that left them with big shoes to fill and that Stephen King often makes his monsters ridiculous in the book, (making them difficult to translate to the screen) they could have done so much better than a CGI 12 ft cartoon character of a woman. The most unnerving scene in the whole movie was the old woman in the apartment, then the ruined the ending of the scene. The director obvious had the talent to pull it off in the first film , why get lazy in the sequel? Is was just an annoying distraction in what otherwise would have been a great movie.
