12th Fail (2023)
Just the right amount of everything!
Rarely do all elements harmonize seamlessly to create an outstanding masterpiece. I can't recall when was the last time a movie stirred such profound emotions in me. It's films like this that restore one's faith in Indian cinema.
"12th Failed" is a compelling portrayal of the remarkable journey of Indian IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma. The film navigates through the challenges and triumphs of Sharma's life, brilliantly depicting his perseverance despite failing the 12th grade.
The narrative strikes a chord by showcasing the resilience and determination of Sharma as he rises above societal norms and educational setbacks to pursue his passion for law enforcement. Actor performances breathe life into the characters, particularly in portraying Sharma's unwavering commitment to his goals.
The movie shines in its portrayal of the Indian education system's rigidity and societal pressures, while also celebrating the importance of determination, hard work, and the pursuit of dreams regardless of academic setbacks.
"12th Fail" effectively delivers a motivational message, inspiring viewers to believe in themselves and their abilities, regardless of societal expectations or past failures. It's a poignant and motivational cinematic experience that resonates long after the credits roll.
Who Killed Malcolm X? (2019)
What NYPD should've done is done by the makers of who killed Malcolm X
Very insightful, personal & factual historic account into the death Of Malcolm X and everything that led up it and how everything was shoved under the carpet afterwards. This documentary is not just storytelling, It's not just a perspective of the maker, it is an investigation, an investigation that should have been done by the police. Had the police taken up this case the same way the maker of this documentary did the real killers of Malcolm X would've been behind bars and two innocent people wouldn't have suffered 20 years in jail.
The One (2021)
Exceeded my expectations
Wasn't expecting much out of it, I ended up binge watching it.
Blow (2001)
A time less underrated classic.
Watched it today after 10 years. Enjoyed it as much as I did the first time I watched it. Hugely underrated.
