Ron and Laura Take Back America (2014)
90 Minutes You Will Never Get Back
The movie does not even live up to it's synopsis. I agree with the review in the Village Voice which says: "There's only one joke here — GOP voters are bigoted, Stars and Stripes–wearing clowns — and it's handled with the sort of blunt, bludgeoning mean-spiritedness that it slams them for peddling. Equating volume with humor, England and Markham stage their material with maximum amounts of hysterical screaming, all of it leading to climactic health-care-centric irony that's so simplistic even Michael Moore would have been too embarrassed to include it." When a movie does not even come up to the entertainment level of it's simple synopsis, you have wasted 90 minutes of your valuable time.
The Teacher (1974)
child actors don't always "evolve"
This time-waster only proves not all child actors can make the transition to adult "acting". Jay North is unintentionally absurd in this low-grade loser. This former "menace" got no help from the "director" especially in his scene with "the teacher" trying to get him to drink a beer with her. His reactions to her are hysterical! If you're a heterosexual male, you may find B-Movie actress Angel Tompkins appealing enough to keep you awake. I won't go into the plot, as every other reviewer has already told you it. The picture looks like it was shot in 8mm with almost every scene being a "master" shot-very few closeups- little camera movement, bad lighting, not to mention the ridiculous dialog. To really enjoy a "It's so bad it's good" movie, it cannot be boring. This is just really bad!
