Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire (2023)
Rebel Moon Part 1 > The Batman
Both are blatant rip offs of older more successful films. The only difference is this was always supposed to be Zack Snyders Seven Samurais Star Wars, this was always the plan. People going into it expecting something else and then getting upset about it make no sense. Whereas, The Batman should've been something new and fresh, yet we got the most simple and safest take on the character, didn't take a single risk, and literally just ripped off some other movies and used the name batman, but everyone loved and praised that. I really don't understand this unnatural amount of hate for Snyder and his movies. At least Snyder adds his own style to the films he makes, which is more than can be said about other directors that get praised for copying other movies. Lets not forget that Rebel Moon is a netflix release, with a more definitive directors cut still to be released, and people are acting like this is the finalized version. Did people not learn from BvS and Justice League? Or are people just looking to hate for the fun of it? Because i can say for sure that i don't go out of my way to watch movies made by directors that i don't like the style of, and don't understand why anyone would, unless its just to hate.
The Batman (2022)
Edgiest Batman movie to date. Didn't think we liked edgy superhero movies
I don't understand why the people who keep making excuses for the things they didn't like in this film didn't just do the same with BVS or MOS. Nobody cared about character development or wanted to know what drove batman to the state he was in in BVS, even though it would've been way more interesting. We know where this trilogy is going and we have seen it 10 times already, except this time is a bit darker. If this was actually explored, like it was originally supposed to be in the Snyderverse, you would've seen the most in depth, complex and interesting batman you could think of, eventually teaming up and interacting with the rest of the justice league and taking on actual serious threats, but now we've got to go through ANOTHER solo batman trilogy before we get anything like that.
Anyone can put on a Batman suit and pretend to be Batman. Literally anyone. Even the very young kid in Gotham did a good job of being angry Batman mode Bruce Wayne.
Mystic River (2003)
overrated
Waste of time and makes no sense, there is really nothing to enjoy about this film other than the acting which even then due to the poor plot feels overacted. There is a scene where someone is watching john carpenters vampires (1998), yet the film is set in 1975? The film is a mess and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.
