Is this where Pilot Pete got the idea ??
22 March 2020
An extremely predictable rom com about a grown man that refuses to move out of his parents home while he still enjoys his dating life, as long as it doesn't last long. Matthew McConaughey plays the part well but after a while his personality started to get on my nerves. He seemed a little bit too old to still have such a slacker attitude, and someone younger might have done a better job. SJP was perfectly cast. Though, the real star of the show for me was Zooey Deschanel, who played the part of a blasé roommate hilariously. The movie is silly but it's good for a movie night.

Not a cliche Sci-fi film !
19 January 2020
This film is much more sophisticated than any other movie in its genre. I love that it never really shows what the alien looks like, your imagination fills in the rest and honestly that is much scarier. Amy Adams is wonderful and I'm glad she got a few noms for this movie. Honestly, you really have to be in the right state of mind for this movie. It's a little more psychological, and there is a spin on time and the date the movie is happening in. I loved that the film was focused on communication and linguistics. It's hard to find an alien film without the entire plot being them trying to destroy the earth. Make sure you have your popcorn and have already been to the restroom, because you could get confused pretty easily if you miss something. It's a very different movie in fact I would say it's the sci-fi movie for people who really don't like sci-fi movies. Another thing I liked was the movie jumped right into the plot just minutes after it started. Over all I really liked the movie, though it might be a movie to just watch once for some.

The Greg Gutfeld Show (2015–2021)

Hilarious!
19 January 2020
This show always keeps you in giggles. I love that this show is not overly political in its topics, it's more about Pop Culture and what headlines are trending. I love all the different opinions on everything! Wrestler Tyrus and comidian Kat Temph are a really funny duo. The videos Greg plays are better then most skits on late night tv interviews. Also, Greg Gutfeld isn't scripted like other late night host, everyone is able to go off topic if they want to (which happens a lot). Dems, republicans and libertarians are all able to enjoy this show if you're just watching it to have a laugh.

Frozen II (2019)

Disney at it's finest!
15 January 2020
I really thought nothing could beat the first one, man was I wrong! This movie is amazing, and I would say it's at least as good as the first if not better! However, Frozen 2 is NOT as funny or lighthearted as the first. I was surprised by how dramatic and heavy it was. The songs are beautiful and have more of a Nordic feel to them, which proves how much Disney cares about authenticity and getting their history right. The animation is even more stunning in this one, especially some of the scenes involving the ocean. I think Disney was very aware of the fact that their audience from the first one is 6 or 7 years older now. Even Olaf seems to have matured somehow since the last film!

The ending wraps the story up well and I couldn't imagine a third being made. Overall, everything about this movie just screams Disney. I think both kids and adults will love Frozen 2. And you can bet even more songs will be stuck in your head!

Also, keep your eyes open for a couple "hidden Mickeys" throughout the film !!!

Great concept!

It's amazing how well this film captured the essence of being a millennial brand. The craziness, and hectic behind- the-scenes life of the online startups that we see pop in our Instagram feed daily. I actually love Anne Hathaway in this business woman roll. Also the movie will make you like Robert De Niro, as he plays a kind gentlemanly retiree. I never get to see De Niro in this type of roll (due to me usually not liking any movie he's in) but he's so admirable in this movie and I couldn't imagine anyone playing it better. I love how the movie shows some of the struggles and prejudice a female founder/CEO can face without portraying Anne's character as whiny or completely incapable of running her own company.

"I feel heroic! And handsome!"

Illumination Studios does it again! By creating the most unique characters and best writing, they have boosted their credibility as an animated movie powerhouse. Capable of competing with any of its production competitors.

This film is utterly hilarious! I've seen it so many times, by now I probably know every line by heart. The adorable animals have amazingly detailed personalities and characteristics. This is definitely one of my favorite animated movies. You don't have to be kid to love this movie, just an animal lover.

Adventurous, Brave, Creative!

Those three adjectives can be heard throughout the film multiple times, but it's also how I would describe Director Ben Stiller. The cinematography of this movie alone should have won multiple academy awards. The beauty of it is unmatched to any other movie I've ever seen. I am extremely disappointed by some of the critics scores regarding this film. Ben stiller is a revelation as both actor and director. This film takes you from New York City to Iceland to the Himalayas, sprinkled with amazing visual effects and scenery. It's one of those rare films you watch and days later you are still thinking about it. I can imagine many people being able to overcome something in their life by watching this film. My favorite Movie of the decade.

The original score for this film is definitely worth listening to, especially the main songs "Stay Alive" and "Step Out".

Unnerving...but great.

Warning: Spoilers
Two arrogant college boys think that the capability of getting away with the murder of one of their class mates is a sign of their superior intelligence. There is a distinct leader of the crime as one of them starts to doubt what they've done. They decide to host a dinner party with friends while the victims body is hidden in the room to add to their own personal pleasure. Alfred Hitchcock strengthens the suspense by his unique use of the camera angles and set. The entire movie takes place in a single room, giving the viewers a claustrophobic feel. James Stewart is amazing and gives a subtle yet dubious performance as an old Professor who may have accidentally giving them the idea to carry out the crime. He's obviously appalled when he finds out what they've done. This film will forever be one of the best psychological thrillers in its field.

Anyone wanna swap houses ?

This movie is great for Christmas time and any time of the year! This great assemble of relatable characters will encourage you to take a chance and go on an adventure! Some reviews have said the plot was too predictable, but that actually made the movie sweeter! You knew what two people were going to be in love by the end of the movie and you were just waiting for the characters to realize it themselves. I'm not a fan of romance movies but this movie had the theme of adventure and spontaneity that I appreciated and wished more movies were able to achieve.

Brilliantly done!
24 December 2019
All of the characters are very like-able. As a viewer, you instantly want Jack Malik to succeed in his dreams of being a musician. The music is amazing and they stayed true to how the songs sound originally, which most people will like. Though she's not in the film long, Kate McKinnon is a comedy powerhouse, as always. Ed Sheeran adds the star power the movie needs to seem like real-life. The movie is quick paced and has a happy, uplifting tone throughout. Yesterday is both a great tribute to the Beatles and also a cute rom-com.

Most People will be Shocked...
6 December 2019
....For others it will unfortunately confirm what we already knew. This brave documentary explains what "aquariums" like Seaworld don't want you to know. Wild animals don't belong in tiny tanks for profit. Trainers don't need to put their life at risk trying to train a non domestic animal. People rarely get to see what goes on behind the scenes but the creators of this movie did a wonderful job of exposing the hypocrisy tastefully. Nothing is said through opinion, only facts and evidence. Everyone who "loves animals" should watch this film, it will change your perspective on captivity for the rest of your life. It deserved all the praise and awards it received.

Best Music Ever!
4 December 2019
Everyone's favorite little yellow guys are back for their very own movie! You don't necessarily have to watch the first Despicable Me to understand what's going on, the film is set B.G. (Before Gru) and tells the story of what a minion is and their purpose. The best part of the movie is without a doubt the great soundtrack! If you love music from the sixties you will love this movie!

Started out funny

Despite the great cast, the story loses substance about half way through, expect to be bored by the end. It's still a very cute movie if you have enough patience to continue watching. Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell are a great pairing and there are many surprise celebrity cameos.
