Psycho (1998)
One rule was drilled into me during high school:
. . . if you plagerize, you get a zero!
Plagerizing is defined as passing anyone's ideas off as your own. By crediting this film "Directed by Gus Van Sant", Gus is doing exactly that to Hitchcock. This film contains not one original shot, line of dialouge, or idea. Let's face it, people: Van Sant peaked with To Die For.
One shudders to think what would have happened if the film had been a hit! Could Joel Shumacher's Citizen Kane be far behind?
The Fast and the Furious (2001)
Stupid . . .
But if you're considering watching this movie, you really don't care. You just want to see the cars go vrrmmmVVVVRRRROOOMMM. And they do that. Go see it if you like cars. Not if you like film.
The Newsroom (1996)
The Best Canadian TV Show EVER!
Wit, an insider's view of the TV system, and great writing, directing, and performances collide to give auidences an absolutly BRILLIANT show that should be put out on DVD, already! Don't miss "Meltdown", the 3 episode tribute to Fellini's 8 1/2.
