One Starry Christmas (2014)
Sadly Ridiculous
**WARNING - SPOILER!**
I mean really, who takes a full size horse saddle on a "Greyhound-type" bus? And as a New Yorker myself, a cowboy riding a horse down the streets of Brooklyn to pick up his lady love and ride off into the sunset??? C'mon people. Not even close.
I'm a die-hard Hallmark Christmas movie fan, but this one missed the mark. Decent acting, silly plot. Sorry.
He Knows Your Every Move (2018)
Typical Lifetime Stalker/Obsession/Psycho Movie
Not sure why some people are so gullible. And who wouldn't notice the red light blinking on their laptop????
The Pioneer Woman (2011)
Y'ALL HUNGRY?
I actually enjoy the show and watch it faithfully each day. I've even tried a few of her recipes. Ree's bright smile and bubbly personality are adorable and a breath of fresh air.
She uses a lot more sugar than I do, but it's a fun show to watch.
My only comment would be this.....please start making the family wash their hands before diving into the food! E-coli (and other deadly bacteria) is alive and well. They are out fiddling around with cattle, horses and "cow patties" , playing in the field, even cleaning out an old dark shed for a 'man cave' for the kids and Ree shows up with food (some of it, sandwiches held in the hands) and not a sani-wipe in site! They come in off the 'prairie' and go straight for the food without stopping at the sink to wash. And the filthy cowboy hats at the diningroom tables are nauseating! If I spent the afternoon cooking a nice meal the hats would be left in the mudroom and my dinner table would be treated with respect. Just my 2 cents :-)
Otherwise, love ya Ree!!!
Calamity Jane (1953)
A True Classic
I saw Calamity Jane as a kid in 1963 and it immediately became one of my all time favorite movies. It has stood the test of time, and still remains among my favorites. At the time that I first saw Calamity Jane I could identify with the character because, like 'Calam', I was somewhat of a tomboy myself although I was totally in love with some of the good looking on screen cowboys of that era. Doris and Howard Keel did an excellent job in this movie and their voices were second to none! Secret Love still makes my heart sing and Deadwood Stage will always be a toe tapper for me. Even at the ripe old age of 55, Calamity Jane is still one of my favorite movies. It is a must see for people who love the romantic westerns of the 1950's. Of course it is among my collection of VHS favorites. My husband and children are also fans.
