I just wanna say WOW! This episode and one before were powerfull.
But just as in The Haunting of hill house "the bend neck lady" ending gave me goosebumps over my whole body, so did this one!
Im a Mike Flannagan fan by now. He mixes terror with lots of emotion and character development.

Because of some good Dutch productions lately (Undercover, Mocro Maffia) i decided to give this one a chance. Now i have to say that, Dutch actors who can act can be count on 2 hands, and the mom and dad in this one are defintely not one of them! Really really worste acting ever in first 15 minutes. Also by their kids. I cringed so much i had to turn it off to stop cringing... This is crap for sure...

1. I understand the critics. There is a bit of dumb writing, a few stereotypical characters, and they make a few unrealistic decisions.
but....
All the rest of the movie makes up for that. There is the AWWW effect, there is breathtaking suspense, there is unbelievable CGI, there is emotion, there is humor, there is action.
This movie, especially on the big screen is only one word... EPIC. Also the finale of the movie was really amazing.
For me it was the best cinematic experience ever. I recommend u see it in IMAX 3-D

OK i was waiting for this movie for a very long time. Since i am a huge fan of The Exorcist i was dancing from joy to see a new Exorcism film coming out in 2010. I would have thought this is gonna be great. The cover looked fantastic and the girl looked really creepy. Also you would think that they want to top the original Exorcist so they gonna pull everything out.
Well wadda ya know...
This movie is utter Bull.... Nothing is scary and really nothing freaky happens. The first hour is boring but you expect then that you get the goods in the final 30 minutes, but i was waiting and waiting but NOTHING Happened! Bam movie end. And you are sitting like wtf? are u kiddin? Avoid this one really.

BAD movie in every way possible, SAVE YOUR TIME

OK this movie was really really bad. I decided to give it a shot, since i liked the first movie. I mean those mirror images can be really creepy!
Well in this movie they are NOT. The scenes with the mirror images where not scary and it even made me laugh a few times. This also had to do with the acting, which was the baddest acting I've seen in a movie for a long time. The 2 main characters are both terrible. Especially the woman Elizabeth (Emanuelle Vaugier, baddest actress ever.. On top of that the film was evolving around an unoriginal and boring plot, the script was bad, the dialogues where awful and also the direction and editing was really bad. You will notice the scenes when u see them and will think What? Completely messed up....
Funny thing was i enjoyed the last 15 min or so. Think it has to do with that it involved the only 2 characters who did a decent job with the acting. (Stephanie Honore and Lawrence Turner)
Skip this movie if you can. It is a real borefest and i almost fell asleep.

I must say i didn't expect much from this film. I myself am an absolute horror fan. I can say i watched almost every horror film worth seeing and browsing the internet looking to find some gems that might be not so fammiliare.
When i bumped in to The Echo, the cover caught my attention. I didn't expect much from it because i didn't hear about it at all.
Well what do u know! It was great! I really recommended this to all horror fans who like creepy ghost stories. Cause i cannot remember seeing one for the past years so creepy as this one.
The story and acting is good. And the ghosts are also really scary. Also the score/soundtrack of the movie is great! Kept me on the edge of my seat, so highly recommended !

Damn, since the rating on IMDb was above 6.0 i expected this version of Friday the 13th to be quite good. Since horror movies mostly not rate to high.
Well i was wrong ! This movie is one big cliché, and u see dozens of movies like this each year.
A young and stupid group of American teen backpackers go camping in the woods. They get drunk, and have sex, and get killed one by one.
Of course they are also the usual stereotypes....The Stupid Blonde, The Asshole Hunk, The Smart brunette, The Nice Hunk, The Token Asian and Black Guy !! WTF? I mean this movie Carry's the name of a horror classic. And it's just a stupid clichéd movie like all others.
Also the story is unbelievable, uninteresting, and u don't care about the characters.
In three words: THIS MOVIE SUCKS !!

Seen this movie yesterday and since there where no comments yet on this one i hoped the best of it. It started off OK, but then it came obvious that everything about this movie was wrong. This movie has some of the worst acting i ever seen. Especially the teenage girls, there lines are so flat and fake its horrible. Then you have the music. They put pieces of music on scenes and it just don't seem to fit for one bit. And then of course there is the CGI its laughable. Dead Mary Worth is a joke for itself. She looks fake as hell and then that voice! It's almost comedy. The story is also mega confusing and very badly directed.
The only reason why i gave 4 stars is there where some suspenseful, eerie moments. But that's about it...

You should really ignore the bad rating that IMDb gives this movie. Also ignore the many bad reviews i see posted here. If u want to see a really scary movie then this one u can't miss ! I rented this movie with 5 other movies of which i thought this one would be the crappiest after i checked all the ratings on IMDb. So i was expecting rubbish and checked this movie the last of all. So i start watching the movie at about 01.00 at night alone in my room and i can guarantee you my feet and hands are sweaty most of the time. This movie is scary as hell especially when u look it alone or with your girlfriend.
The problem with such a movie is maybe that if u watch it in theaters with lots of people its not scary or in a room with many of your friends. But alone or with just 2 people and its late and quiet this is one of the scariest movies which i seen for a long time. And i am a horror freak and not many movies i find scary. There is so many scary stuff happening, things like in "The Exorcist" or "Poltergeist". And not only a few times but along the whole movie.
OK maybe the movie is a bit confusing but thats the only thing i can think of to lower its rating for me its 10/10

OK finally.....after waiting several years, there is finally a horror movie that rises above my expectations. Where many horror films of the last years which i expected very much of, like The boogeyman, The grudge(omfg), Exorcist Dominion, and many many more. Where BIG disappointments and i was beginning to think that nowadays they forgot how to make a real horror film.
But then there came The Hills Have Eyes. Expected much from it but got more they i expected.
No fooling around with cutting all the good stuff out, or let everything to your imagination. NO fake CGI crap. No, just real life terror.
Do not think i only love this movie so much because of the blood and gore. But the tension and suspense is great to. Acting is great. And very important, you could believe this was really happening. For instance i saw Stay Alive last week. this crap movie about a video game if u play it you die. OK the idea was nice but....if u see the movie it was so unbelievable. You could never ever imagine how such a thing could happen for real.
The Hills Have Eyes is very believable and that gives extra creepiness to it.
So if you are in for a ride behind the hills...GO WATCH THIS MOVIE
