Road House (2024)

Its a remake, a good one, different approach that misses some points for a great show, small spoiler

Its a great fun, a really action packed movie and story, with some plot holes which if were filled would made this move at least a strong 8 out of 10.

Dalton is different than in 1989 movie version, he has a lot of pain that he is hiding in the beginning, but the story is pretty straight forward.

Things that are missing are a little more concrete story plot, a bit more serious approach, there are a lot of kinda parody acting happening, there is definitely need for more erotic scenes as it was in 1989 version, it just goes way better with this story them this literally "one-kiss" thing.

I hope for a second part, since it has nice potential and Jake is so bulit-up that it should be used asap!

Anyway, a must watch.

The Beekeeper (2024)

Good action movie with interesting plot, touching some of current society problems, with one flaw

I jut watched The Beekeeper and i can say that this movie could have get an 8 or even a 9 if they worked just a little bit more on it.

Let me tell you the one and only flaw - its just way way way way way too unrealistic!

I know its an action movie but you can make action movie like John Wick (first 3 parts, 4th is disaster), or like Extraction that are of course a bit of fantasy movies, but way more believable than this one. Just so many completely absurd and stupidly taken scenes and situations.

Story is pretty decent, it misses a 5 or 10mins better introduction so we could connect more to the connection that main character has with a certain person, and for which everything else later happens. Why not spend some more money and make that extra couple of minutes which could create a way closer emotion to the story and characters..

It touches a lot of current problems in society and especially in USA, but also around the globe, it has an very interesting lore that could be explored in so many different ways.

I hope for the sequel, maybe prequel as well, with some deeper story and development of characters.

All in all a decent watch, a good action movie. I would watch it again.

Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire (2023)

Daario Naharis vs Daario Naharis and its good, involving and fun!

Very very good movie that had great storyline, good actors playing great characters, its an amazing adventure from start to finish and, what people forget, this is only part one!

Star Wars wannabe they say.. i say its way more fun than star wars, only thing with star wars is that it hit cinema way way earlier.. this is way deeper story and better more fun movie!

A girl, who is by the way played by beautiful actress who does her role great, becomes saved by small village on a distant planet, as movie goes we discover who she really is and it is a good good story, she goes on to form a group of defenders against mighty force.. yes its seen before, but what isnt?!

This road is fun, interesting, original, and i just wanted to see general Titus fight in arena, that is only thing missing from this story!

Great first movie that has nice base for future development, and Zack Snyder is the right man for the job.

Enjoy it!

The New Mutants (2020)

One very different superhero movie, psychological thriller horror, very interesting

I am not sure why this low score and bad ratings are given to this movie.

Its a way different movie of this x-men superhero universe.

It follows five new mutants not familiar to public before (movies' public), and how they explore and combine theirs newly found powers.

Movie pins you to the seat and makes you want to watch at least one sequel!

Story is very good as well as its exhibition, there is a lot of mystery left surrounding this movie and where it could go with story, i waited almost four years to watch it since i read reviews and saw ratings and kinda built aversion to it, but dont watch bad reviews, check few trailers if not sure or just watch a movie for 5-10-15mins and you will be pin to watch this one to the end!

X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019)

Good, enjoyable movie, that deserves better rating!

I made this mistake now and i ll try not to repeat it. Mistake was that i read reviews and decided not to watch this movie and to prolong watching it for years, almost 5 years, half of a decade!

This movie has a very good action, some amazing action, pretty decent story, great effects and its definitely worth watching!

If you watched X-men movies you have deep connection with characters already and this introduction of little then teen Jean Grey is more than decent! It catches her troubled mind, explains better her troubles with keeping relationships and in the same way gives as a very good and fun story!

Of course there is Magneto who is one of my favorite actors (and even first Magneto as him older self was amazing, so i just love that character), and he definitely gives an extra star to this story.

7/10, at some points even more, very very good X-men movie, and i might add that i didn't want to watch it because of actress who portrayed Jean Grey, since she was very irritating in GoT, but she did a good portrait here, so don't believe this low ratings they are just way of point, and not accurate, and enjoy the movie!

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023)

6.5, cause of Momoa and other great actors, plot 5/10, vibe 2.5/10

Its the last Dceu movie or at least they say so, im still hoping they might do more with superman, black adam and of course aquaman.

Story is decent, seen so many times but still decent, actors are those who make this movie likable and even fun at more than one occasion.

Cgi and effect are definitely more and more made for kids, which is why cinema was full of kids, few of us adults and hundred kids.

I dont know why they changed dc and marvel as well into kids stuff, but its more and more just that.

Its the last dceu movie and aquaman 1 was the best of all so aquaman 2 definitely deserves to be watched at least once, but it wasnt even half of the first one and its good if this is last since they are making it worse and worse. If they dont change producers and writers and all of that staff, its better to leave it as it is.

Expend4bles (2023)

5 for legendary series, 3.5 for this movie alone, a lot of whys?

I love expendables since first movie to this one, i enjoyed it and watched previous movies more than twice, some even 4-5 times.

So many legends, so much nostalgia!

I dont watch it so much for the action, which is also very good, but for some memorable lines and quotes and dialogs!

This one had maybe 3-4 decent dialogs and that is it. Fast movie, thin plot, a bet way to say goodbye to this series, if it is the end of it.

I feel at least stallone deserved better fairwell since he is "definitely" not coming back for 5th part if there is to be one, but i also feel like he was satisfied with this and that he didnt mind much about making it more memorable.

All in all its decent one-time watch action movie with few of the everlasting legends and few decent dialogs and lines.

If you are expendables fan you should watch it. I m sure i would like to watch it again sometime in the future when nostalgia hits me and i rewatch whole series.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)

Very good action movie, better when i watched it now (2023)

It is a non-stop action as always with Indiana Jones movies. Very good action, very good acting, good story, a very strong 8 when you take in account when it was made.

I am watching all Indiana Jones movies this days and this one is way better and i get way more jokes than how i felt when i watched it as a child.

It is maybe the most dark Indiana Jones movie, but it is a super action movie with ton of fun and it does not lose your attention!

Even tho main actress is very very annoying it is because she had to be like that, but i kinda liked her more than the actress from the first movie, even tho she acted only in this Indiana Jones movie if i am correct.

It brings a lot of memories and makes you think and want to know what happened to all this actors and people after decades and decades.

A must watch, 8/10!

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)

Nice farewell from an amazing character, movie that should've happened

I just finished watching Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, my first thought was that I was happy that this movie happened.

Yes it has it's ups and downs, few total illogicalities, you can see that there was a lot of desire to tell story with few too many elements, so it kinda felt like a mess from time to time, but for everyone who liked at least one of Indiana Jones movies - this is a must farewell!

You have to give absolute credit to Harrison Ford, a 81yo man who did this kinda of movie, it does not matter if he had CGI help and doubles for some scenes, he did beautiful job with all IJ movies and gave us so much to thank him for.

Story is good, as I said, a bit of mess at times, but I would dare to say - better than previous movie, and it had many great endings possible, and did choose a decent one. I hoped for a bit more happier but it was decent, and emotional one, and made my heart feel warm.

Acting was very good, many woman character could've been better choice, but she did fine job, and all in all, it is a 7 for me because of all emotions and history of character, you should watch it and do you own farewell to our amazing, everlasting doctor and professor Indiana Jones! Thank you!

Creed III (2023)

Just cashing in legendary film name

Nothing special here, a few decent scenes, very plain and unexciting movie, no real thrill or suspense, feels just like lifeless movie.

Not much to add, plot is predictable and repeating, acting is below low, story is non existing, you should only watch it if you really want to watch all of that Rocky-verse.

And without Rocky it misses everything completely.

I watched it and now i don't remember 70% of movie how plain and shallow it was.

They should definitely stop making movies just to earn money based on old fame, and doing that ruining that old fame that some great movie created.

3/10 and i dont even know why am i giving it that "high".

Extraction II (2023)

What an action movie should be! Must watch!

This movie is all about what an action movie needs to be - a tremendous amount of great action that almost does not stop for the entire movie!

Story is very good, acting and execution also very very good!

For 10/10 it needs a bit more of details, like Chris' recovery time should have been a bit more longer just a minut more longer shown, and they need a one more big star name joining him and Idris.

It is amazing sequel, for some maybe even better than first, which is very rare, and definitely great setup for third installment.

Fighting scenes, both fire and hand combat are done very very good, it reminds of John Wick level of making thins scenes (JW 1-3, 4 is disaster), and all in all is a strong 8, and a must watch movie!

The Out-Laws (2023)

One time watch, 5stars cause of star power, otherwise 3-3.5 max

Story is decent, acting is okay, execution is pretty bad, so many plot holes, bad vulgar humor more than once, a lot of scenes feel like actors were forced to do them.

Main actor tried so hard but this was not role for him, Nina was ok, not really much involved tho.

Here parents were decent, Piers always is but even he seemed like he was forced to do this in more than one occasion.

I know its a comedy but so many illogical stuff that it becomes more boring and boring as it reaches the end.

Its a one time watch and that one time should be when you literally dont know what else to watch or do so like lets see this.

Far far away from "must watch". Without star power 3-3.5 stars rating is max it can get.

Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)

A solid movie, nothing spectacular now, but a bomb in its time

If i was born in 70s or even 60s, and i was 10-20 years old when this came out i would most definitely be crazy hyped up and thrilled and overwhelmed of such a joy and excitement.

Since i was born in 90s i watch many movies from 80s and 90s while growing up, and even in 00' when i was reaching 20 years of age i loved those movies, with Jan Klod Van Dame, Stallone, Shwarceneger, and as well as this movie and those of this age, and i really really liked them, they were amazing.

But, when i now watch those movies - its just not the same, new age brought in many many new standards and this is in terms of acting, of cgi, of choreography pretty below standard.

Plot is pretty predictable and only good thing that is often missed this days is story and dynamic and action in such movies, that is what they should've kept in movies today, good stories as a most important thing.

From todays pov - 6 is the most i can give, but for those times when i enjoyed it as then i didnt know better, i would give it 8-9 definitely.

So all in all i ll give it a 7. And now i ll be watching all parts since last part just arrived in theaters , and i will rate them all, so we will see what changed and what improved.

Anyway if you like Indiana Jones - must see.

Highlander: Endgame (2000)

Original Highlander and Highlander Endgame are def the best!

First, I really like the idea and dimension of Highlanders and Immortals and I watched it first when I was really young, so it will always have a special place and feeling.

I must say, Highlander 2 and 3 are really pointless, esp No2, who made that and why - will forever be mystery.

So, in a way, I consider this part a true heir or true sequel to the original.

It has an original plot, it has some deeper touch to characters and theirs personalities and what is the most important - IT BUILDS CONNECTIONS AND MAKES YOU FEEL love, sadness, passing of a life, immortality, caring and losing, all those feelings that make us humans!

I had few moments with tears in eyes, and even tho for some this is not a masterpiece of CGI or of story, it is a great movie, and for nowadays, it's a good 6.5-7 ratings, but considering when it was released, what budget had it, and that it was after almost decade and a half of waiting - good sequel, and it really created some beautiful feelings, i ll give it a strong 8!

For all Highlander fans - must watch!

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023)

Great Transformers movie, amazing fun ride to join and enjoy!

I liked first three Transformers movies, then didn't really remember anything from 4th and 5th, and maybe even less impression got with Bumblebee, but now they made it great again!

For the first time i notice that most of attention and focus is really on the Transformers and not so much on humans as before. It still is on humans, but less than before, and humans were great, chosen wisely, did nice job, so everything is in right measure!

Humor, action, story, involvement, development, amazing new Transformers that we get to meet and see in action, and nice connection with another famous franchise.

All in all strong 8 out of 10. Hope they ll make one or two more movies after this one with this characters and continuing this storyline, since they did all the good placements now.

Ambulance (2022)

Suspense ride from start to the end!

I don't understand people trying to find logic or full rationality in movies nowdays. Movies are here and were always here to make things a bit more suspense and dramatic and exciting! Especially action packed movies with drama factor!

This movie has it all, action, drama, great actors doing great things with given role, M. Bay knows how to pin audience to the theirs seats and to give us great thrilling ride.

Eiza had probably the best role so far, did amazing job, as well as both of male protagonists.

Movie felt like a 3-hour runtime but in a great way, it was very very engaging and its a hard 8 out of 10!

Those who love Eiza or Jack must no miss this. But its a movie for everyone to see, at least once.

Fast X (2023)

This is what action is!

Finally some great action movie in theaters, after John Wick failed for all reasonable people we get Fast X the really drives us all the way to great action scenes, favorite characters and also new ones included, who fit perfectly!

Jason Momoa is just great, perfect for the role, and the movie seems to have everything needed for 10/10 finish!

Looking forward for next (maybe two) part(s) with Rock coming back, and maybe seeing Jason Statham and his family some bigger screen time!

Hope to see one or two street races at the end as well as it could be perfect finale!

All in all 9/10, just so i can give 10/10 for the final of final!

MUST SEE!

John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023)

I guess someone is paying tons of people to lie on this ratings, EPIC FAIL OF A MOVIE!

I am a big big John Wick fan. When i first saw it i was in love with the character and the idea and the freshness it brought to the table of action genre.

We spend few last days before movie arrived in high expectations and when we saw 9/10 rating on imdb we were like this will be HUGE! Couldn't wait to watch, since we really liked all the previous ones.

First three movies were amazing, they were progressing well, John had deeper and deeper character build, as did other character get, everything went very very good. First three movies were 8-8.5 even 9 at some points.

This one was crazy downfall. I can see everyday rating is getting lower and lower and i guess someone payed a ton of people to write similar fake ratings to build momentum until it does what i now think it is made for - make as much money as possible.

Nonsense, unrealistic scenes that went stupid, fighting which felt like they are preparing and training for real scenes to be taken, completely brainless involvement of blind man as an ultra killer who as it points in the movie is better than John himself.

I mean i can write real real long text about dozens and dozens problems with this movie. We are supposed to have some fantasy level of skills here, but just some level, a believable level, this went way beyond even strongest superheroes strength level at some points and i am not kidding! Its ridiculous!!!

Main villain is nonsense, its just so illogical in this universe. I was really really hoping that they can explore that Arabic part of the universe, fighting the Elders stronger snd stronger Elders, really exploring that mysterious part of universe, but no, he kills Elders like they are nothing, and then his main villain becomes young childish egomaniac that basically has no skills and no one knows how or why he reaches ultimate position at the Table. Crazy!!!

Ending is rushed as many parts of the movie, and feels utterly disappointing and unsatisfying, only good thing to some degree is scenes with Scott "unrecognizable" Adkins.

Keanu seems were off for the whole movie, like he has no energy, and he does more than superheroes do in this one, its just cringe after cringe after cringe. Disgusting what they did with movie and character!

To all John Wick fans who waited this so long and were si excited to see it.. you don't need to. Definitely not paying for it in cinemas! Stick to the first three movies and make some happy ending in your head. This is EPIC FAIL.

Book of Love (2022)

Epic fail, poor writing, zero chemistry, 2/10 is huge for this

Beginning is decent since its kinda only Sam Claffin in it, but after this main actress appears and others this movie just goes down as fast as possible.

There is not even zero chemistry between two of them, other actors are disaster (only grandpa is ok), story is horribly executed, even tho idea is decent, maybe even good - with way better writers and way way better actors (Sam can stay ofc, he is the highlight).

Sam is the highlight of the movie, but he is kinda under his level because of all the others.

Too bad for the idea, it was just an epic fail od execution, 2/10 just because of Sam, otherwise it would be -1 out of 10.

Black Adam (2022)

Good fun, good humor, not entirely satisfying battle at the end, small spoiler

First i must say Rock is perfect for this role, just like Cavil is for Superman.

Story is good, depth is decent, humor is sometimes just so-so, but mostly it has great effect and builds really strong impression of that aspect of the movie.

My problem is with the finally fight as black adam was not able to defeat the bad guy alone, or he didnt even have any time to do it, since it ended pretty fast, but with the help of the flying guy. So i am the of those who really hate when main badass needs help, as movies before and during me growing up were so that badass guy always wins and that is how it is supposed to be, not always needing teams, especially in kinda standalone movies like this.

Effects 10/10, humor mostly 9/10, story 7/10, finally fight 4.5/10.

But firmly looking forward for movie with black adam and superman hoping to see that amazing fight on big screens, to see if movie makers will be as books were black adam is the most powerful of all!

Lucifer (2016–2021)

An AMAZING end to an different, original, fun, emotional show

First three seasons were 9/10 I would say, next two so-so, but the final season managed to leave beautiful emotional experience!

End was perfect! First three season are really really great, and 4th and 5th are watchable with some good moments as well, so all in all this show for all the great stories, all the great parallels, all the fun, all the action, all the emotion given does indeed deserve 8/10 stars!

For long time now I have been movie's and shows' loyal participant and I saw some criminal endings, this one is just perfect, and once again, with first 3 season this show give you an amazing ride, and the most imporant things - phenomenal emotional experience at the end!

Interstellar (2014)

One of my favorite movies of ALL TIME !

Chaos Walking (2021)

7/10 as a gift for hoping that they will make this way better in future developments

Trouble is that movie, plot, this fantasy world and especially characters have an amazing potential that hasn't been explored even a 5%.

For that rating is 2/10 max!

Humor that goes pretty well with Tod (Tom Holland) is the best part and it just brought me back to my young teenage years so I'll gave it a strong 8/10, just for evoking my teenage days in some crazy way and for making it so "every day thoughts drama" thing that we all have.

Effects are great and so are some landscapes, for that 8/10.

For potential 10/10, as i really think that this world and everything in it can be extremely well explored, that stories can go pretty deep and that they should just dare to do it.

Movie should've lasted at least 2h 15min and had more twists and more exploration of everything, but maybe the best thing for this world should be turning it into tv show of few season.

All in all i had fun and had laugh and liked the movie!

Mortal Kombat (2021)

Effects 9.5, Fights 7.5, 1st third of a plot 8, rest of the plot 3.5

Just came back from movie, was really hyped for this.

Story starts great presenting us story of two of the greatest characters (Scorpion, Subzero and theirs background).

It continues in same manner until Liu Kang appears, from there everything becomes faster and faster, and by the end of the movie i feel like they had too much to tell in limited time. So it was either smart to make this movie a bit more long (20-30mins at least), or to use less characters.

First Mortal Kombat ('95 if i remember correctly) was better for me, it had easier plot, a bit less characters, a bit less background but the plot was done as good as possible, this one had way more potentially better plot, but it was too rushed and forced.

I liked Raiden, Liu Kang, Sonya, Shao Tshung (or how it is written) way more in original movie, here a i liked more Keyno. Goro too beacuse of better CGI, but not as a character.

Wrongs with this movie were: 1. Too fast plot after 1st thrid of a movie 2. Bad choices for some characters 3. Creating whole new character just for the movie 4. Very unsatisfying finish of battle between Keyno and Sonya (it just had to be better finish) 5. Poor explanation of certain origins and poor origins of some characters anyhow 6. Mortal Kombat is a tournament - and there is no tournament here, just an idea that, at least for me, did not work properly.

All in all 6, first movie i would rate 7.5, and considering the year that it came out even 8.

Effects were almost perfect.

Fights had too many illogic, but were pretty good to see.

Plot i explained already.

I think that when MK Rebirth came out they should've made movie (not series) out of it, cast was much better.

Is it worth watching - yes.

Do I hope for a sequel - yes.

Do i hope for sequel to fix mistakes from this one - definitely yes!

And, this is just my opinion, honest and fresh since i just watched, no mean to disrespect or anything like it. :)
