Even though this movie is based on a true story of a killer that has never been caught, there is no excuse for such a poor ending...

I felt like i just wasted 90 minutes of a movie that was neither going to teach anything nor at provide any entertainment.

If you want to know more about the zodiac, you can find all the information you need on the web, not worth watching this movie.. it has a weak ending and the story/acting isn't very engrossing.

The only good point of this movie as far as i'm concerned is that it is the best of the zodiac films that have been produced, but that isn't saying much.

American Pie Presents: Band Camp (2005 Video)

This movie is brilliant from a teenager's perspective.. the director and crew target this movie for the teenagers and get the bull's eye...

Keeping this in mind, I see no reason why anyone should call this a bad movie.. it is not a bad movie, it is intended for certain viewers and the movie nails the target in my opinion.

The jokes are hilarious and the theme is in synchrony with the first three American pie movies... I won't mention anything about the plot, but if your looking for a good laugh or a light hearted movie, this could be the one.

Worth a watch...

Lucky Number Slevin (2006)

The subject says it all...

This is a good, fast paced thriller... It would have been a really good thriller if it were not for the graphic scenes at the start of the movie, but once you get through that and a little bit of the confusion, this movie picks up very well...

I don't want to mention any thing about the story, I think there is enough mentioned already at the plot summary and that's all you need to know.

But trust me, do not believe people that say this is a bad movie... it is better than the many garbage movies that come out nowadays.. the acting and suspense is solid across the board. Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman and Ben Kingsley are good, but the trump has to be Josh Harnett. He was good.

Like I said, the only bad point of this movie are the graphic scenes at the start.. If you approach this movie looking for entertainment, you will enjoy it.

Mystic River (2003)

Not good.. too many questions unanswered..

The fact is that this movie is just slow and unappealing.. it just drags on pointlessly and you would not feel like watching it again.

Contrast this to one the greatest thrillers of all - the usual suspects - a movie which is so appealing, so challenging, so brilliant, you just have to watch it several times...

But hey! in fairness, we cannot compare this 'movie' to the usual suspects. In this flick, there are WAY too many questions unanswered, illogical things happening, co-incidents and worst of all, no real ending! I mean movies are supposed to entertain, keep us thinking, leave us on the edge of our seat.. but none of that here... How can the producer/director just end the movie and let us think what would have happened.. the script writer is supposed to come up with the ending and the producer needs to show it to us... if we are the ones left to do it, then why are those guys sitting there.

Lots of reviewers have already written about the illogical plot and the series of events that prove the statement.. I suggest you also take a look at that... it's almost.. well.. funny! Yeah, that's right funny, laugh about it..

So the bottom line is that this is not a movie that the smart ones will enjoy... the smart ones need a movie that is skillful and challenges the wits.. Mystic River, sadly, does not come anywhere close.

The Illusionist (2006)

Much much better than expected...

One of my friends just suddenly ask me to watch this movie.. I had no idea what to expect, but I was totally surprised by the end of the movie.

I see The Illusionist as a new and inventive approach to mystery movies.. most of the mystery movies that I know are of the crime genre, but this is different.

Another good thing about the movie is that the director/writer/producer have done a very good job of keeping the plot simple and uncomplicated.. it's one of those movies in which you can sit back, relax and enjoy... in most other good mystery movies, you need to listen to every dialog, but not here because it is quite straight forward.

In my opinion, definitely worth a watch..

The Usual Suspects (1995)

Brilliant... it does not get better than this...

I will not give any info about the plot because you've got all you need in the plot summary.

The Usual Suspects is a brilliant film.. I have tried, but failed to find any plot holes in this movie.

It's a movie that you have to watch no less than twice, but you will not feel like you are wasting time by watching it multiple times.. I skipped a heart beat when the truth was revealed..

If you want to challenge your wits, bring out this movie.. chances are that the twist will come out on top and i'm sure that you will appreciate the same way i did.

12 Monkeys (1995)

Very intelligent movie that will keep you thinking...

Twelve monkeys is a very good movie that keeps you right on the edge of your seat and thinking because this is not a plain good old action ordinary action flick.

The story is very consistent and tight throughout the movie because the actors do not start talking about other irrelevant, unimportant things. Another thing about this movie is that if you miss a small bit, it will translate into missing a lot so you really need to pay a lot of attention.

I do not want to tell you much about what happens during the movie because I think it will spoil the brilliance, but I will tell you that the acting is very good, especially Madeline Stowe. Brad Pitt was also good as a maniacal scientist.

Definitely one of the best Sci fi movies out there and from my side, I highly recommend, but pay close attention because this is a movie in which every single scene is connected to another.

Overall, twelve monkeys is a very good movie that is something different and the director does a good job in pulling it off. It thoroughly deserves it's place on the IMDb top 250.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)

A Class apart from the rest...

Terminator II, is without doubt the best action movie out there... The reason why this movie is SO MUCH BETTER than ordinary action flicks is because the villain (Robert Patrick plays the liquid terminator) is really tough. In fact, much tougher than Arnie. Unlike, ordinary action flicks where the villain is just literally blown away.

Arnie is really stretched to the fullest and beyond to get rid of this guy. This is what really keeps you stuck at the edge of your seat throughout the movie, and as far as I remember, there is no other movie that kept me at the edge of my seat from starting to end like this one.

Bottom line: If you have not seen this movie, you have got to be joking! If you are serious, watch it and I am sure that you will not be disappointed.

Pulp Fiction (1994)

One of those movies you just can't hate

Pulp Fiction is a movie that is certainly original.. there is no movie like it.. However, there does not seem to be much of a plot or a message.

It is like 3 totally unrelated stories about gangsters, crime, robbery etc with a lot of language and way too much detail.. I read in another review suggesting me to watch the movie twice to really pick up the detail and understand it, but the truth is that you cannot watch a hardcore 3 hr movie without a message again! None of the stories are really "about" anything. They certainly are not about hit-men pontificating about burgers. Nor is the film really a satire or a farce, although it contains elements of both. At times, it feels like a tale that didn't need to be told, but for whatever reason this movie tells it and does a better job than most films of its kind, or of any other kind.

But one thing in Pulp Fiction's favor is the cast.. I thought that the 2 lead actors (Jackson and Travolta) were really good..

In the end, I have failed to figure out why this movie was such a big hit, but I do not discourage you from watching it since you could have a totally different opinion about a unique movie like this.

Not Another Teen Movie (2001)

Not another teen movie?? actually, this is just another piece of trash!

First of all, make no mistake about it, this was just another teen movie and nothing more. Crude humor, guys fantasizing about some girl a love story and a cliché ending...

The story is about a guy who gets into a challenge with the other guys to turn an ordinary girl into a "Prom Queen".. Subsequently, he falls in love, they suddenly have a conflict and finally they all make up.

I felt like my brain was getting cooked while I watched this movie. I seriously DO NOT Recommend this movie because there are so many better movies out there and I think a 1 on 10 sums it up quite precisely.

In summary, please do not waste your time watching this movie!

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006)

A highly recommended good movie...

The first thing you need to do when you watch this movie is recap your knowledge of the first one... otherwise you will be a little confused.

I have read a lot of negative reviews about this movie, but I still watched it any way and I was pleasantly surprised.. I have also read that this movie was a little cliché, but I disagree.. the action towards the end is a cliffhanger! A MUST SEE.. It makes you want to watch the third installment.

The story also is decent, but the only reason I did not give this movie 10 on 10 is because of 2 flaws in the story.. Here they are: 1) Will turner goes hunting for capt Jack Sparrow to save Elizabeth Swann from prison, but 10 mins after he leaves, she is released very easily. So when she could be released so easily, why did will turner have to go hunting for jack sparrow??? 2) How did the Black Pearl suddenly get trapped on the island?? that one totally comes out of the blue!! And co-incidentally, will turner finds capt jack sparrow and the rest of the crew on that deserted island.. A little far fetched if you asked me.

But anyhow, if you are not that choosy about movies, I am sure that you will overlook these and the movie is well worth an eight on ten if not more. You can see that a lot of effort went into making this movie and make no mistake, I will be watching the third installment coming next year! Bottomline... this movie is quite good and one for the entire family. Easily the best movie of 2006 thus far.
