Jumanji: The Next Level (2019)
Another Enjoyable Trek Through Jumanji
Jumanji The Next Level, brings in some new characters alongside those returning favourites from 2 years previous to offer yet more great family fun.
Once more it's fantastically simple to go some where, do something and win the game but what is does is offer yet more family fun with great action and a good slither of comedic moments along the way.
Once more you will not regret taking a trip to Jumanji and the ride is fun once more and will leave the family of all ages thoroughly entertained.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017)
A True Great Family Film !
Welcome To The Jungle !
Wow, honestly was not expecting this to be as awesome as it is and while it took me a while to watch it I was not disappointed. Without offering any spoilers I will say that this film offers some really great action and all the cast offer some fantastic moments throughout that will bring a smile to your face and keep you laughing throughout. There is a simple story but its simplicity alongside some fine action, cgi work and the great cast creating fantastic comedic moments you will not be disappointed by taking a trek in the jungle with this ensemble.
Personally would like to say that Jack Black stole the show, noting against the fine work of Johnson, Hart & Gillian but for him to act like he did in this role will instantly have you in stitches.
A great family film that is fun for all ages !

Porridge (1974)
A True Comedy Great
Norman Stanley Fletcher (Ronnie Barker) is one of the greatest tv comedy characters to ever grace British tv. His daily battles with Mr Mackay are hilarious at times as he tries to beat the system in anyway that he can while doing time. I have watched this show since I was young and can still happily place this on my tv today as it still makes me laugh even though I am at the stage where I pretty much know every episode word for word. The cast including the prison officers and fellow prisoners all offer unique personalities and traits which add to the fun on show in this sitcom of the 70's.
Some of the comedy in here is simple and offers cheap laughs with often overly simple one liners which could be spotted a mile away, but that said this show has great heart and a cast of people as said before which offer so much over the course of the series. I feel anyone looking for a nice simple comedy to binge to look no further, get this classic from the vault and sit back, relax and take it all in.
You will not regret it ! 9/10
Aladdin (2019)
A Whole New World - Unfortunately . . . . .
The year is 1992, Disney's Aladdin film has been a massive hit for the studio. A great story and catchy musical numbers. I film loved by many and I personally remember getting this on VHS (that was a thing back then) and watched it time and time again.
Unfortunately like many of Disney's new live action remakes to date this is not one that you will be in a rush to repeatedly watch. It just simply does not have the same soul and playfulness of the animated original. Don't get me wrong they have done well with how the action was created and the cgi was top notch as you would expect with the quality of a studio like Disney but it is just missing a little something and I can not quite put my finger on what currrently.
I saw nothing in this entire film that was better than the original, too much auto-tune and far too much Will Smith. I know that Robin Williams was going to be a tough act for anyone to follow but honestly he just does not possess the playfulness the was so engaging from Williams enigmatic genie of yesterday's year.
Simply this is an ok film for a new generation but I would stress that anyone who is a fan of the original should set themselves up for disappointment.

Ok Family Film - But Leaves A Little To Be Desired
Where to begin with this ?
I think if you have a family with young children then there is certainly something here for them, sadly though you will be quickly turned off by the film as an adult.
I like RDJ as an actor and was really looking forward to him sinking his teeth into a new role here and with a stellar cast of actors/actresses lending their voices to his companions I went in hoping for the best but sadly came away disappointed.
There are some quite funny bits to be seen in the film especially early on in the film though these are far too infrequent and the characters are being pushed in ways to try and get you to adhere and feel for their different plights they are going through. Unfortunately though i honestly don't feel anything for these characters and they are quickly forgettable as they are difficult to feel a connection to.
This was the Doctors maiden voyage on the silver screen and even the great RDJ I doubt will be enough to get the funds together for a second onto happen as there simply just is not enough here.
A generous 4/10 but as said before the cgi animals and half decent action will keep the kids entertained for a couple hours.
