The Truman Show (1998)

Truly deserves it's current rating

Which is 8.2 as I write this comment. Rarely I find movies nowadays, which deserves watching and this movie does.

For the first 30 mins I was a bit bored, didn't gave attention what's happening, but more and more it started to catch my focus. I tought it's a psycho thriller movie, where the main character cannot decide if he is in reality or in a conceptual show.

The story slowly unfolds and we got certification, that Truman is in a made up reality show, where he is the main character and everything around him is a commercial, product.

But only a blink of an eye decides the fate of the story, which is hearthwarming.

Can only recommend.

Prey (I) (2022)

Title says it all,

all you see is a girl and his flashing thru scripted moments, the story telling efficiency of the scenes can be compared to rolling cube stones.

Simply uncreative, guys bodytalk like "the no ragrets" dude, and except our main character, every female is doing "conservative" female stuff. Looks like some woke privileged perspective was again more important than storytelling, character development.

It's hilarious how this "beast" can kill a .... snake.

Nothing tells more about the author's limited ability of creating a story, when he creates a situation where our main character is getting in serious life threatening trouble, which there is no way out alive, he feels the urge to hide whats happened with a black screen.

This exactly reflects back what the story is: a big empty blackness.

The Predator (2018)

Like it's a video game.

This movie was weak, I cannot recommend for watching. Don't count on coherent story or well writen characters whom you can emphatize with.

Suicide Squad (2016)

Lame

Now the TV -s started to show it, and I was able to watch it many times.

Very boring film, with boring jokes and sexualizing Margot. I would just mentioned the biggest conradict: In the end, the squad successfully destroys the enemy, whom no army could stop, thats why they hired. And in the end the squad jokingly accepts to go back to jail and get some awards like TV. Like who could stop them? Totally bsh_t like this the whole film is.
