Jeopardy (2002)
Charli Wilson is destined to become an international star. From "Lunar Girl" to "Jeopardy", next stop Hollywood.
After the first episode, we're so looking forward to seeing each and every episode of Jeopardy. Charli Wilson who made an amazing screen debut in the magical "LUNAR GIRL", is a superb new actress who has a flair for pulling you into the character and taking you on a rollercoaster of emotions, and with the outstanding Paul Wroblewski directing and a fine cast of young new (mainly Scottish) actors in this unusual story, I think the BBC has a hit on it's hands.
Urban Ghost Story (1998)
Spectacular beginning and end, we were moved to tears
We saw Urban Ghost Story at the Odeon in London. It took a bit of getting into but then we were hooked, enthralled even, and came out feeling that we'd seen a Hollywood style movie, albeit on a low budget. We recently bought the DVD and really enjoyed the commentary about how the film was made and what scenes were disgarded etc. Altogether extremely interesting. Buy the DVD it,s really enlightening and enjoyable to boot. Janis, my wife dragged me and some friends along to see it and I'm glad she did. Can't wait to see their next movie.
Dance of the Wind (1997)
Stunning cinematography, beautiful soundtrack, enjoyable film
We bought this on VHS and loved it. It shows India in a way I've never seen it before, far from the traditional view usually portrayed and not remotely Bollywood. This film would be enjoyed by any nationality, it's a truly international film and doesn't depend on language; it's moody and magical. Miramax would be advised to snap it up before it's too late, this film will be discovered. It's spiritual, moving, modern and mysterious at the same time; with beautiful cinematography and a soundtrack to die for. Buy it and enjoy the experience. We did. Janis & Wilson. London.
