Interpretation of pirate's golden age
2 December 2021
The series begins and ends in the Bahamas with a war against the British empire, it's premise is about heisting a Spanish merchant fleet. The filming took place in south Africa but also features some episodes away from what is meant to be the Caribbean.

What is described as the golden age follows the most famous pirates of the era working together to make a better place for themselves. The insight and knowledge is huge to better understand the trade, and also the costumes and the settings are to a fantastically high standard.

Vinland Saga (2019–2023)
9/10
Vinland saga from Norse expansion
23 October 2021
The TV series is adapted from a comic book series written in Japan, it follows an Icelandic boy called Thorfinn who comes of age during the series and is heavily involved in the Danelaw era of the Viking expansion in northern Europe, with the show mostly set in England a millennium ago.

The series has a detailed historical accuracy and has historical figures as main characters, also it actually follows events that occurred in Norse expansion of the north Atlantic. Whilst going into detail of events typical to have happened during the a day and age.

It is a great series to watch to better understand the era and protagonists in the story of north American settlement by Vikings centuries before Columbus, and to further explain how England developed as a country alongside Celtic nations. Then also the show is action packed with a good story about war and royalty and families.

Inheritance; a movie about giving money to those dedicated to ones life.
6 February 2021
The movie will pick up a crowd who are looking for a heiress in a magnificent New York estate and all the riches of upper class folk; however the movie comes with intrigue, by really delving into the word and finding a story that is original the movie exposes a dark side of wealth and secrecy. The cast is small but great, although it isn't a cinema movie, Netflix did a good job here.

Outlander, Scottish based period drama with a twist.
23 January 2021
The show is based on novels and uses an educated perspective on highland life in the 18th century, the with a shake up where time travel from post world war 2 transports a family between times and then also between Great Britain at its time to the new world east coast America. The actors, costumes and settings are great. The show really is gripping with dramas and action and a love story where the main characters make the show as great as it is.

Scandal in Belgravia, to put it simple.
25 December 2020
To put it simple, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle continues the series for Sherlock Holmes whereas the BBC never made a movie, this TV series encapsulates the spirit of the novels in the 21st century. Benedict playing the lead role effectively gives a flawless performance, furthermore the series episode is key to the integrity of the whole drama, being Sherlock meets his female crush; and the episode is played out in magnificent settings all playing a part in the whole story of Mr. Holmes & Dr. Watson.

The show is epic, focusing in on a costal town in Spain taken over by a drug type cartel family who all have their own demons and are becoming their own demise. T. E. Lawrence British colonist biography.
5 September 2020
A timeless classic movie which has proved doubters for decades has been digitally remastered. The movie show the real life story of a British military officer who rose the ranks due specially to his ambition in fighting for the cause of the Bedouin tribes against the Ottoman Empire. The movie is filmed in separate locations, but brings the true character of the era together with great costume, and acting. The film is long at nearing 4 hours, with an intermission halfway in the style of the era the film is based on. Unfortunately the voices are a bit quiet at time during the film, but it doesn't back off the surreal story of the formation of the countries in the region specifically Jordan and Syria.

The Fattest Man in Britain (2009 TV Movie)
8/10
Jack Taylor unofficial movie.
20 August 2020
The story evolves around the true story of heavyweight man Jack Taylor. A miracle man's story of someone who would eat enough for a medium sized family daily; he also used his habits to create fame involving using his home as a seeing gallery for tourists and locals wanting to pay for his time. The movie epitomizes the real life story with its own cast making a adaptation by changing the names of the people and locations and background story. Unfortunately the real life character dies of a heart attack one night alone in his home, and this story is a homage to his death as one of the largest person's in history, also it pays respect to his own life as a well loved individual in his own society. The film was a TV movie for ITV UK, and made a very good first impression to the home audience.

Black Sails (2014–2017)

Pirate tv series.
31 July 2020
The TV show was made to a specification displaying exact ship and costume details, based on the era of the pirate republic in Bahamas early 18 c. The cast and crew obviously went to great lengths to replicate the times and those personalities who sailed the Atlantic pirating and warring against British and Spanish fleets. The accuracy of the story is debated, as it is a fictionalized serial; but it offers tremendous accuracy into the time scale, battles and characters of that era.
