Good, not great
26 April 2022
I've been hyped for this game since before covid and have kept up with all the news. When I was little, the complete saga was my favorite game, and you better believe I played everything I could. This game I think is either directed more at kids or maybe as more of a complimentary piece to go with the movies. Going through just the story from start to finish (which is what most star wars will do) feels just like going through the motions. The combat is slightly updated into what I would call elevated mashing. It is a little more sophisticated, but still very mashable. The flying is pretty goofy, but not terrible. This game just feels like its going through the motions though. Everything feels more drawn out than it needs to be and the humor is much more in the face than the original. I will say, if you are a little kid who like to make fart noises and make fun of star wars, this game was meant for you. However, the visuals are fantastic, I can't stress that enough. Surprisingly, the sequels were the best part. I think the best way to play this game is to play that third after replaying the complete saga, it is just more exciting.

A ton of fun

Yo everyone! This isn't godfather part 4! It is LeBron james playing basketball with the looney tunes while being a reference filled joy ride with a bunch of visual eye candy. Just put down your notepad and enjoy the show.

Disappointing

Warning: Spoilers
I was really excited to see the city of Tokyo in a ff film and the city is truly beautiful. But everything else was lame. The races aren't as good, the cast definitely isn't as good, the main character is so bland, I was bored for most of it, and they killed off the only good character.

Finally, a good live action mk movie!
3 May 2021
This is easily the best Mortal Kombat movie ever! It has great action obviously, fantastic characters/costumes, jaw dropping fatalities, and really funny dialogue as well. It is a kick ass time at the movies and is better than the 1995 version in every way except Shang Tsung, and he was still really good in this new movie. I have already seen it four times. Everyone go watch it!

P.s. - If you like the lore and characters in this film check out the animated movie Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge.

Good enough...
4 April 2021
This has great adaptions of certain elements in mortal kombat. Johny cage, Liu kang, sonya, kano, shang tsung, and goro are all handled very well. THe fights are pretty cool as well. However, the humor in this movie is never funny in the way they want it to be and it does a huges disservice to raiden, sub zero and scorpion. But if you ignore that, it has great elements and good ideas. So some good and some bad that is kind of thrown together like leftovers from the past week put into one meal. Some parts are cool, some are fun, some are laughably bad, and others are just bad. But it isn't unwatchable and is very enjoyable.

The perfect film

This film is the world's greatest example of balance. It balances the ideal lead character with compelling and hilarious side characters and a great villain. It balances action and romance in a very endearing way. It balances humor and heart in a very touching way. I have never laughed harder or had a bigger smile on my face then when I was watching this film.

A well rounded end
27 November 2020
This film does try to pack a lot into one film, but I think it pulls it off. The storylines and characters aren't fully used and many aren't incredibly elaborated on but I think that is how life is. The comics have all kinds of time to write out and expand on each villain, but a movie I think is more realistic, because sometimes life gives us more than we can handle. So the way Peter Parker deals with different issues is very realistic. This also gives us great moments like when he realizes what the suit is doing to him and when he is getting ready for the final battle and looks at his old suit. The character arcs and relationships are wrapped up very well and villains all have clear motivations. Every character in this movie is conflicted, except of course characters that aren't supposed to be like Aunt May. All in all, I wouldn't change a thing.

Great Episode!

I really enjoyed watching Lana get put in her place. She has become a really annoying character and it's nice to see someone befriend Archer instead of treating him terribly. I also can't wait to see more of the new butler.
