Mukundan Unni Associates (2022)
Gets repetitive and incredulous after some time. Not worth spending one's time
Began well and sounded very unique/novel. Bur after some time it became repetitive. In Indian movies, on the one hand you have the likes of heroes beating up 10 to 12 thugs in a sequential manner incredulity and on the other hand you have this movie types. I couldn't get what the movie was getting at. Dark comedy, my foot, there were only a few occasions where it tickled me. Promoting immorality and decadency under the garb of dark comedy is repulsive. Not one character in the movie is worthy enough. So what is the movie communicating? Forgery has to be promoted, murdering one's opponent is permissible, end justifies all ill means adopted (where the end is only a materialistic success). Sickening.
Kooman (2022)
Never expected this from Jeetu Joseph
Movie started off well. Made my expectations go up a la Drishyam. First half was totally believable and set the ball rolling as a thriller. But then gradually the movie starting falling into a pit or possibly a black hole and towards the end became irretrievably disastrous.
No logic, no rationale, anyone can appear anywhere, capture another person's video howsoever dark or unapproachable the location could be. And suddenly a temple in the middle of a forest with so many lamps, lanterns and a lever pulley mechanism. I could guess post interval who the antagonist was and the path the movie would take. So no surprise or shock element there.
Never expected this from the director of Drishyam. Commercial compulsions possibly.
Rorschach (2022)
Incredulous movie
Where to start? Elementary thing like finger print tracking, using sniffer dogs are missing after a murder. Not once but repeatedly across multiple murders. Police stand a mute spectator while there are murders taking place around. What an horrible premise.
Secondly the premise that the protagonist, in order to take revenge finds no immorality in ruining the life of another woman, is simply unpalatable.
Thirdly what is this thing with the ghost, where does the ghost get the energy to beat the protagonist black and blue? How childish? And why is the ghost not able to beat him down repeatedly? Why only selectively?
Illogical and the theme is full of holes and elementary mistakes. I am surprised that this trash movie has received such high rating. Please avoid watching this movie, it's an insult to one's intelligence.
Brahmastra Part One: Shiva (2022)
Pathetic movie
Other than VFX, there is no storyline, no engaging screenplay, horrible BGM, and cringy dialogs. Acting is better left unsaid. Had a headache after listening to the jarring BGM and watching non stop laser effects.
Looks very childish and there is no emotional connection between the characters. Looks like they chose the locations and then decided the story and screenplay. Had to undergo the pain of watching his movie as my friend had booked a ticket for me as well. Length of the movie is another unbearable thing and the ambiguity around the climax given that there is going to be a part 2 (I sincerely hope not) is adding fuel to the fire.
Don't waste your hard earned money on this movie. In one word, pathetic.
Laal Singh Chaddha (2022)
Horrible
If you want to waste your time, watch this movie. Aamir repeats his PK kind of acting. Story drags on and on.
Too many actors not knowing what to do. Battle scenes shown are a joke.
A simple remake of Forrest Gump would have served its purpose but they wanted to ruin it.
No Man's Land (2021)
Extremely & inexplicably slow movie
Easily 30 minutes could have been edited in this movie. Not sure what the director is trying to communicate in this movie. End was thoroughly unbelievable and disappointing. Film is trying to sound intelligent whereas it is not. Waste of time.
Pune-52 (2013)
Not to waste time on this movie
Movie started on a good note. A private detective who does not receive the respect he deserves neither at home nor outside. But gradually the movie started losing its plot, focus and goes haywire. Not sure what the director wanted to focus on, is it the interpersonal relationships and their nuances, the murder, the private detectives' hallucinations. And what is the metaphor about Indian middle class, why is that required? Maybe the director wanted to communicate too many things and totally missed communicating even one point.
Pace of the movie started slowing down and with great difficulty I finished watching the movie.
End was a big disappointment and extremely abrupt.
If one has lot of time on one's hands he/she can watch else can be easily skipped.
Sadhu in Bombay (2017)
Zero respect for privacy
What I did not like was zero respect for the privacy of people involved in the movie. MMS was totally not required and car's registration number should have been masked. Would the director be sharing a similar MMS of his on the screen? What a hypocrite?
