We've seen the plot before but we still love it. The tension was excellent. The music score was awesome. Gerard Butler always delivers. I really enjoyed the ending. Well done.

Crime
(2021– )
Not a bad flick.

My only gripe is, what is the greasy Scottish cop saying? It sounds like he's speaking with a couple of those Gob Slobbers from the eighties in his chomp. I couldn't understand a single word... maybe 'Aye', that's about it. Might as well be listening to Chinese or Afrikaan. Good movie though, 'cept when the Scot gets excited.

Station Eleven
(2021–2022)
Unrealistic
30 April 2022
I'm thinking how pleasant this film was. The reality is, living anywhere during and post collapse of the infrastructure would not result in parties and feel good moments but an hourly struggle to stay alive, more akin to Mad Max than 'The Walton's'. Incidentally, 2022 might be a good year to stock up on potassium iodide.
Last Breath
(2019)
Brilliant. Heart wrenching. Maddening. Release.

I recall being angry this 'event' was even put to tape. It was so, horrific. I cried for the loss of young Chris. His house, wife to be, all that potential gone. I almost turned off the documentary when I saw the twitching body. A story so unbelievable but right there, on videotape. I promise, if you have a heart in your chest and empathy in your soul, you'll enjoy the journey.
Don't Look Up
(2021)
The dumbest movie I've ever seen.
31 December 2021
It was so bad, that I fast forward to the end. Just awful humor. Too bad the bronto-birds didn't eat the film. Satire in its worst form, and really, quite excellent actors fell for the lamest script. One star, out of ten, is being generous.
Womb
(2010)
I prefer slow movies but good Lord!

Molasses type speed. From the deliberate extra long pre-movie drivel and then another for all the actors, your patience is tested right away. The opening scene is of sleeping people. By then, you're ready to end the misery. Not recommended for those of you wanting any sort of stimulation. Pass on this one.
Nothing new here.

What was the purpose of creating this film? If it's goal was to regurgitate the history of capitalism, well done. Everything I heard, I know..... nothing new is revealed. The troubling omission, is Bitcoin. It's a new economy just emerging. If you don't know about BTC, if you don't own any, you're wholely ignorant or uneducated. This film misses the mark. How can you painstakingly tell the story of capitalism without addressing the coming economy? Bitcoin has a market capitalization of $1TUSD. It's growing rapidly and will eclipse *ALL* banks eventually. Word.
Mogul Mowgli

What did I just watch?

What a bunch of mumbo-jumbo. The acting is meh but the real problem is the plot. It's all over the place. Eminem was the king of his day, unfortunately, every adolescent kid with a hate on for the system and a microphone seems to find enough money to drag his idea of a great film to MSM and I end up wasting my time watching his lame-ass product. I put an end to this misery at the 30 minute mark.
Pieces of a Woman

I will never get a girl pregnant.

After seeing this very realistic birthing process, I've decided not to put someone I love through that harrowing journey. I'm joking of course. This is a really good film. The acting is top notch and the story is a heartbreaking. Men, you need to see this.
I'll Be Gone in the Dark
(2020–2021)
Boring. No. Correction. BORING!!!!!!!

This series might appeal to the Ellen audience. There's a lot of gratuitous flattery. Much of the film involves information about the creators. Its like watching a Hollywood film about actors, producers and directors.
To be honest, I turned it off when she started telling us about gummy bears and the happiness she experienced because she was out of the kitchen. Yeah... not my flavour.
Your Honor
(II) (2020–2023)
If you like gratuitous movies, this is for you.

You don't have to think. The thinking is done for you. You're force fed a simple plot. The rotten child in the movie, I grew to really hate because his character was sooooo annoying and simple-minded. Cranston delivers, but to be honest, I turned off the movie after the pickle juice drinker, or about 30 minutes.
Honest Thief
(2020)
The most unbelievable FBI movie you'll ever watch.
12 December 2020
Laughable, implausible and gratuitous. You'll bust out laughing. It's just so unbelievable. "You lost this.", as the FBI boss hands a gun to a subordinate. "Thanks.", doesn't ask, isn't told where the weapon was found. The gratuitous love scenes forced down the viewers throat by smiling, black toothed, 70 something relic Liam Neeson and love interest Kate Walsh. You'll be wishing for the closing credits about 45 minutes in.
Bring Me Home
(2019)
VERY strange and unbelievable.

What cop is so dense that he doesn't take a picture of a suspected, abused and abducted child? I turned off the movie before being insulted any further. Could've been a really good movie but the gratuitous play on emotions was way too thick.
Endgame 2050

***********MUST WATCH************

We, as individuals and as a species, are only a little smarter than chimps. Our behaviour relative the earth, mimic a virus. The good news for the planet is, human activity will eventually increase the PH level in our oceans and this will make life for phytoplankton impossible, which, in turn, will make life for humans impossible. Phytoplankton is responsible for 50% of the oxygen your lungs just breathed in. Earth will respond and rebound after the 6th extinction. It's a shame no one will be around to marvel in its wonder.
Victoria
(II) (2015)
This is a movie for adolescents.
12 September 2020
The story will appeal to the unseasoned viewer. The plot is simple, it doesn't draw you in with complicated characters or relationships. The single take is a whopping 2:18 and :45 too long. That Victoria garnered a 7.6 when John Wick gets a 7.4 on IMDb is a baffling revelation. If you're young, you might like this effort but if you're over 25, you probably will want your 2:18 back.
The Leftovers

Beware headphone users
11 August 2020
Crying babies, shrieking women, cheap scare "bangs" .... all in the first 5 minutes.
Maybe I'm just getting old but the ear raping tactics directors and sound editor's use in movies don't work with me, maybe you'll enjoy it though.
Midway
(2019)
Actors acting plastic. Cheesy graphics.
30 January 2020
Another huge disappointment. Who gets the money to chu n out garbage like this? Were soldiers that disciplined? I think not. The same boring Hollywood actors on propaganda payroll will bore you to tears. Cueing sad music before investing in the characters was a fatal plot flaw seen in so many propaganda films. Hollywood relies on old, predictable methods that just don't work anymore. The telling of Midway deserves the skills of serious actors. Woody Harrelson trying to play General is a pathetic effort at filling the right kind of actor in a big role. Fast forward.
The Last House on the Left
(2009)
This movie just makes you feel dirty.
4 January 2020
Do you enjoy cheap scares, those loud bangs directors add during quiet times to make you jump? If you do, this might be your kinda movie. Predicting what was going to occur next was a big disappointment and you'll be disappointed too. I managed to stomach this movie to its inglorious end, but I'm having a tough time forgiving myself for wasting 1:53 of my life watching 'The Last House on the Left'.
The Green Mile
(1999)
The hero is murdered by the warden?
31 December 2019
What a strange film. The innocent black man, who cures disease, brings the dead back to life and removes cancer tumours, is sent to the electric chair? I don't get it. Why would you murder mankind's only cure for cancer? It makes no sense. You could make billions curing people of cancer.
