Marcus is supposedly grew up in the US. Finally after hearing the actor's numerous stumbling pronunciations, I checked the actor's bio and learned he is from the UK.
Then the actress playing Laura has a thick eastern Euro accent and I checked her bio out also. Yugoslavian born. At least Marcus tries to hide his accent but this actress is beyond hope-or talent.
I like accents but when actors speak with them and there is no good explanation such as the characters attending boarding schools abroad, worked overseas, or even a canker sore that impedes speech, the entire film lacks credibility.
Girl Followed (2017)
Is the father a puppet or a non-method actor?
I've never seen worse acting. The so-called actor playing the father is capable of two expressions. The mother is also wooden but at least can eke out three different faces. If their daughters are breathing, walking, eating, the parents reaction is "Oh my God! They're gonna implode! The 5.5 big one is gonna swallow them up!" Dreadful movie and complete waste of time.
Save yourselves viewers and run for the hills.
Something in the Woods (2015)
Beyond Worst Acting
OMG. What is it with the southern accents when this supposedly true story takes place in Washington State??? Are the affects to highlight that believers are supposed hillbillies? The only thing missing was banjo music.
The acting is beyond wooden. It's as though the actors are cold reading the scripts when 'action" was cued. Were they hired moments before filming and without access to their scripts so they could at least have 2 minutes to prepare? If you're fans of method acting, this film is the antithesis and a new style has been developed. No Method Acting.
I feel sorry for the Bigfoot that had to share the same stage as the human actors. If you ever see the big guy, offer him condolences and apologies for being human.
