The Five-Year Engagement (2012)
One cliche after another
I stumbled upon this on Netflix. I didn't realize that it was so old. Every character and action was a cliche. Emily Blunt is a good actress. The only one any good in "The Devil Wears Prada" including Meryl Streep. She deserves better rolls. The actress who played the last girl friend was good, as well. She never broke her horrible character. And there is nothing funny about a kid with a crossbow. The guy is a clod and she is supposed to be the smart one. He could not make a decision if his life depended on it. You could see it all coming and wonder why. She got into Michigan but not U. C. Berkeley? Give me a break.
All Creatures Great & Small (2020)
A little disappointing.
The writing is not as good as season one given the plethora of stories from the books. Siegfried is borderline psychotic. The best actor is Cullam Woodhouse as Triston. But I watch it anyway.
Four Christmases (2008)
Stupid
Hackneyed crap. What a waste of time. Trouble is there are lots of people like that.
The Midnight Sky (2020)
Reminded me of something
I found it tedious. Clearly it's a call for our protecting our environment and not pushing any buttons since it's the only one we've got even 50 years in the future. Something rendered Earth uninhabitable. The reason doesn't matter. But this is a slow paced set of character studies. Something seemed familiar about Augustine and Iris. It's "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.
The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020)
Nuts
One giant cliche from beginning to end. Somebody was sitting off camera pounding out the script as they went along.
Good Witch (2015)
It's OK
It could be better but Catherine Bell is so limited as an actor. The rest of the cast is dancing circles around her. And watching Denton trying to stir up some chemistry between him and "Cassie" is painful.
Numb3rs (2005)
Pretentious Crap!!!!
Not good at all. Over acting if it even be called that.
Midsomer Murders: Murder by Magic (2015)
Racism
Racism rears it's ugly head in some of these reviews. It is amazing how judgmental people can be.
Just I am being right now.
