Best of the trilogy
17 December 2021
First off, I never watched the original Spider-Mans as a child. I know that a TON of people grew up with the Tobey movies, and this film will be everything you ever wanted if you loved the original trilogy. I don't have the nostalgia factor that you guys have, so you'll definitely like it more than me. Willem Dafoe stands out among all of the villains. He is absolutely amazing in the movie. Tom Holland shines yet again with some great acting in emotional scenes as well. Surprisingly dark and emotional scenes in the movie made it a great surprise. Gripes I have with the movie: It got a little too fan servicey with some dialogue sequences, stale directing (no interesting, new, or creative shots), weird editing choices, drastic shifts in tones (jokes during/after an emotional/dramatic scene). Overall, it's definitely the best Spider-Man movie in the Holland trilogy, and definitely worth a watch in theaters.

Squid Game (2021– )
Well done death game series
30 September 2021
This show is very well done, the set design is absolutely stunning, the actors (main ones) are pretty good, the character development is great as well. Some great emotional moments throughout. Awesome practical effects as well. The only gripe I have with it is the addition of other certain characters (episode 7) that are just awfully done. Awful acting (can barely read their lines right), and some cringy dialogue from those characters. They also tried to make them comedic, which was totally out of the blue and weird. They reuse the same song over and over for most of the series. And for the love of god, stop making Korean actors speak English. It's extremely hard to act in your second language, and you can tell some of the actors have never said a word in English. It really takes you out of the immersion. Overall, it's a really good show and worth a watch 100%.

Rick and Morty: Rickmurai Jack (2021)
Season 5, Episode 10
Best episode of the series (plot wise)
6 September 2021
The reveal of the mystery that the whole fanbase has been dying to know was revealed perfectly. Loved the music as well, especially the "Blade Runner" esque music in the flashback. It still struggles with the humor like almost all of the episodes in season 5, but this episode being plot based helps with that. Could honestly have been adapted into a movie.

Another unfunny episode
27 July 2021
The writing just feels so forced. The jokes don't hit, one of the best parts about R&M is because they improvised more than most shows, but it feels like they just totally abandoned it this season. Rick makes jokes that just seem out of character for him. As always, the animation is great, the show is entertaining, just not funny. Almost all jokes missed this episode. Definitely need a writing change after this season.

Rick and Morty: Rickdependence Spray (2021)
Season 5, Episode 4
Extremely cluttered and random
12 July 2021
This episode literally felt like the dialogue HAD to be maybe 2 to 3 lines minimum, then scene switch. WAY too much going on, it made for an unattachable plot. Absolutely random storyline with random jokes, making absolutely no sense. This episode is easily the worst I've seen, worse than the Dragon episode for sure. Rare miss.

South Park: South ParQ Vaccination Special (2021)
Season 24, Episode 2
Swing and a miss

Warning: Spoilers
This episode missed the Mark for me. The jokes just didn't land like the last special. The old people joke was kind of funny at first, but was overused. I'm not sure if they rushed this episode or what, but the writing was lacking. Disappointing episode, but hopeful for the next special/episode.

Amazing Mystery Thriller
28 October 2020
This movie is absolutely amazing. The acting is top notch, Rooney Mara was just fantastic, Daniel Craig with another great performance, and the supporting cast we're all great as well. The cinematography is great, but the score takes the cake. Atticus Ross and Trent Reznor make such fantastic scores. The directing is superb, hell, it's a David Fincher film! I wish this film had a little more Christopher Plummer :(. Lisbeth Salander is one of my favorite characters in a long time, she has such depth in her character, and you can feel what she's feeling. Her character is somewhat relatable at times. 8/10.

Absolute horror masterpiece
20 October 2020
This movie is absolutely phenomenal. The acting, the cinematography, the screenwriting, the directing, it's all nearly perfect. Hyo-Jin's actress absolutely steals the show of any scene she is in. There is not one stale or bad performance! The main part of the movie that drives it into masterpiece territory, is the last 30 minutes. This movie is very scary, which is very hard to pull off when your movie has little to no jump scares. All in all, this movie is very good. 8/10

Very good, not for everyone
12 October 2020
This movie is absolutely stunning. The cinematography is outstanding. And of course "The Color" is scarily beautiful. Some could call the first half slow, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It had me hooked on the edge of my seat, even during those slow scenes. It's very disturbing, especially with the sound design and direction of scenes. Stanley does a great job. Nicolas Cage has another good performance, the kids and mother do a great job as well. There are some plot holes, but honestly not very distracting. It's a very unique film, and not for every horror/fantasy lover. It's also very similar to another movie starring Nicolas Cage called "Mandy". My rating scale is basically a tier list, so this is basically an 8/10 rating. Great movie.
