Apnapan (1977)
Good story with excellent performance by Reena Roy
Delhi-based Anil Mehra decides to re-locate to Bombay. He is unsure of the location of his workplace, and takes the assistance of Radhika Sharma. She does assist him to find the location. They continue to meet, and are attracted to each other. Anil proposes marriage, and Radhika accepts. Then she finds out that Anil is not a bachelor, he even has a child from a previous marriage, which ended in a divorce.
The story starts from here. Kamini was Anil's first wife was very selfish, gold digger woman who abandons her husband & child. Kamini gets remarried to an old man of her father's age who was very rich. Even her second marriage was at risk. She got money & all the worldly pleasures but not the love & happiness.
She happens to meet Anil & his newly wedded wife & gets to know that her son was happily accepted by Radhika. Here she starts feeling love for her child & regrets all the mistakes done during her first marriage.
Kamini's role was well played by Reena Roy. Her character had multiple shades positive & negative.
For this role she got critical acclaim and a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. However, she rejected the award citing that she was among the film's protagonists and not supporting actors, thus becoming the second actress (after Vijayanthimala for 1955's Devdas) to decline a Filmfare Award.
She was nominated in both the categories Best Actress & Best Supporting Actress.
Mahabharat (2013)
Worst
One of the worst adaptation of Mahabharat. I simply hated the casting of this series. The wrong casting includes Kunti, Gandhari, Dhirtrashtra & above all Dhuryodhan. Kunti & Gandhari looks so younger than their children. After watching the Dhirtrashtra character I realized that how beautifully it was performed by Avataar Gill in B. R. Chopra series. In this series, the script is worst. Dhuryodhan & Bhishma fails to impress with their performances. I really feel people should stop watching this & refer the B. R. Chopra version if they are really interested to enjoy this story. In that each & every character, their performances & script are so well crafted. I gave 2 stars just because of the visual effects.
