The Lie (2018)
4/10
Mixed feelings

Warning: Spoilers
Most idiotic, annoying teenager you will come across is in this movie. Plot twist at the end was interesting but not enough to make up for my anger at the whole of it. Be warned, if you don't already have kids, Kayla will make you want to rip your uterus out.

Did it really just fly by everyone that the corpse shown is part of the mom's dream? Really?

Revenge (II) (2017)

Pleasantly surprised, but not by these reviewers

Well, I was entertained. What I don't understand is how so many viewers are reeling about how "unrealistic" this movie is. Duh. This isn't an Oscar type autobiographical movie. Do they all have to be? Nope.

How about the way no one talks about the adultery, cold rapes, the lying to the spouse, the sociopathic behavior of every one of these men? Because that seemed very realistic to me. If I see one woman getting revenge on these worthless excuse of human beings, no matter how it's happens (plot holes, yadda yadda), I'll be one happy female camper. Let loose a little. You want a realistic movie? Go ask your wife how her day was at work. Go sit at the park and watch people walk by. It's insane how people will nitpick every single detail about a MOVIE, where film makers get to create what they want.

Chill out, just enjoy it for what it is. Oh, and stop being a Karen about it.

Fuller House (2016–2020)

Eh.. It's a cheesefest for sure.

Questionable. Is it just me or does it feel like watching DJ, Stephanie, and Kimmy are one show... and the kids another? I was a huge fan of Full House, there were so many father/daughter moments, there was actual raising going on. This new version feels like the adults don't care at all to interact with their kids, are they raising themselves? They're all only concerned with their love lives. Dj has a scene with Tommy and it seems like they are strangers, pat him on the head and move on with her day, shame on you DJ.

Great, moving film

Not quite sure about the negative reviews completely tearing this one up as "unrealistic"... You all can't stand the idea of someone going through a disease without watching them in total misery? Not everyone's experience is the same, this was such a beautiful story to me. Never once did I think, "Wow, this is what all cancer patients must go through". My mother went through cancer as well. And no, I don't wish to see every portrayal of it with the protagonist suffering 24/7. Penelope Cruz is excellent, I loved this.
