WingMen (2016)
WingMen The TV Series is not for the Faint-Hearted
Don't get me wrong. I loved WingMen, a comedic tv series currently streaming
on Amazon Prime Video. This series is 30 episodes in two fun-filled seasons.
I liked the authenticity of WingMen. Its humor is raw and crude. The stars are real and fat and messy. The jokes come fast and furious. Rick is the master of ceremonies. All his friends take advantage of his kindness and generosity. But that is the point. Rick's friends do bad things. Franco the Baker is given a bakery to run by Rick and immediately, Franco sleeps in and bugs off and blows the whole business as he does other failed businesses that Rick hands him to run. And therein lies the humour. Grown men screwing up. Laughing about it. And then partying and drinking. Is this real life or not? Who cares. Just go with the flow and these crazy WingMen!
Worst Tv Show Ever (2020)
Biagra and Begas- Worst Tv Show Ever- Rocks
Worst Tv Show Ever is a sequel to the brilliantly funny, "The Executive", currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video in the US, with its companion piece, "WingMan". In both Executive and WingMan, we are introduced to the Mitch Wolfe character, a delusional, self-absorbed, film and tv producer, with big dreams and an ego to match. In Worst Tv Show Ever, the Wolfe character take a backseat to his "stars", Boss Hogg, Rinaldo and Johnny Kim. Wolfe gives these characters hundreds of thousands of dollars to make a movie with predictable hysterical results. This movie, within a movie, with another movie within an apparent failed tv series, is worth watching because not only is this creative effort funny, it speaks to the goals and aspirations of all of average men and women trying to follow their dreams.
