wish upon a (10) Star... but nope.
27 June 2022
To see the culmination of concerns brewing... woke check-boxes interfering? Well, yeah.

Destoned to innately fail, since have Alex Kurtzman (okay and Akiva Goldsman), so yeah that's a given; we knew will be an agenda, a self-fulfilling prophecy of ruin. So, right. No problem. Used to it.

But, those brewing variables... those traits--- are visible more.

Sad, really, when just be glib is the go to style, but guess who cares.

Sad that all you have to do is hold up a "Star Trek TV Banner," and you can be as bad, glib, careless, phone it in and get the check as want... and people will still watch (But. The fan 'hope' won't carry for long. Fans have been so disappointed for so long that walking away won't be that hard to do. And go back to absolute noting to watch, will be a voluntary decision).

Almost as sickling to know that getting a Star Trek gig is instant prize; lock in conventions. And the ill-gotten right to show up at Cons, make some money signing, yeah, hypocrisy doesn't pay anymore and fans and norms are burning out.

Office workers take note!
13 April 2022
As mentioned before, good idea on the numbering insanity of working for someone, corporate America. Good theme and hope people take note!

But... bit like "Counterpart", which thinking people were noticing. Which is why it probably go canceled. So... make any second season count, seems to get canceled (May be a "Captain Marvel" cartoon waiting to fill the slot and slated for 7 seasons. (About right!) Last episode worth it, in spite of plot holes... drawing out the obvious by thinking adds suspense, well fine but needs a real complication. Let's see... I don't have time, co-worker is holding switches by hand, so, yeah, be a limp dish rag and don't get to your sister IMMEDIATELY! Lol.

And, speaking of Dylan stretching across the room, drives crazy. Just tie/pull one switch up! Could tape (it's an office!), tie around switch and there's two metal guard bars on each side. "Dylan, you just tied your belt to door..." Bit crazy making.

Same divisiveness... but made friendly
5 February 2022
Or, made you think it was your idea.

Yeah, well I get the narrative, and good to see the Tom Clancy attempt. But don't need any more civic social divisive tension. Hey, I know, how about, Hey Police Chief, how about intentional and unintentional neglect, illegal incarceration, attempts to be killed by your recommendations for detaining, a lawyer? But obviously you know about civil rights (as applied to your benefit. Job and Harvard not obtained by merit? Hum... that's too bad. I'm going to get a civil attorney and have your job. Oh, that's right... law applies to everyone (unless black) and your exempt per recent social cases. Oh well, I'll still try. At least get your Malcom X glasses." WOKE that.

10% edge of seat, 90% fast-forward button
25 January 2022
Guess why they made a fast-forward button. Is made for TV, but why does that mean has to have plot holes and long, long fill. Oh, I guess required if made for TV. That's right.

Anyway, by middle of series, still same format. And family time stamp turn... you're a doctor, and you walk around like in shock, no plan. Ex husband is useless, everything but the obvious. But, did get right people of idiocy low level concerns of others mentality, that all have big houses and property. Of course they do! So that's true to life.

And... so tired of globs and balls of spikes and no appendages attacking from their light fusion drive space ships and unbelievable technology. Always.wonder... ah... how did you build all that? Can't even hold anything or move up stairs. Silly me. Just join the drones.

interesting turn
1 January 2022
Shows to be interesting... wonder about having too much material to cover in short episodes; but probably will find out about the Mayor, attacks, politics.... Like the setting. But, I hope that music for the final credits theme changes. I had to run for the off button. What was that? The millennial men's glee choir thinking they could do something with loud irritating noise (and were allowed to, guess their someone's nephew; who else would allow a credit theme to be ruined). So... only hope to get rid of that noise; hate running to turn off a show that liked watching.

everything but the obvious.
1 January 2022
So... I was waiting for the reasoning, and then... yeah. So, which Philip would that be? The one that tried to kill you (and his mom) three times now? The one that every time his dad (that can't speak above a whisper for some reason) tells him "fire" he would. Or maybe he looked confused for a moment. Yeah, that should pass for concern. But then would fire on ship with his mom (maybe he said he didn't mean it.... every one of the three times.)

Not to confuse remorse. So... Holden. You mean that Philip?

(Can't take it anymore with this convoluted mentality. If was real, if I was Amos, I would resign being on that ship; look for another).

Great! Your sensitivity that he looked like his mom, is reason that you just let a psychopath killer go kill (many others... that look like their mom). Unreal.

27 December 2021
Yeah, saw Matrix 4, unfortunately. Smacked of someone wanting to be a director, and the Bros had some money left over, not enough to attempt such a title, but hey, they think slow people won't notice, I guess. Only thing accurate was all the millennials shopping ideas (bounce that bae...) in their WOKE, disconnected confused additive to thinking they're doing it; made the room. Is how is in writing rooms and they think their convoluted agenda must just be what everyone wants (there's even companies can hire that will do Millennial Voice Over work). No wonder the insanity continues.

Once again....
26 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Ah, the frustration continues! Nice to see Holden back with the codependent, progressive confusion and contradiction. Sure, have. Marco yet again, and loose him yet again. Before was captured then released. Then formed navy and killed those there. There destroying earth. So, finally catch him and... disarm the warhead. Yeah that's about right. Wouldn't expect anything that makes sense, especially from Holden. So Marco will probably blow more people. I think Jim should be promoted. Seems to make as much sense.

everythng but the obvious

First... let's go back to the Architect saying how there are six iterations; the machines allow so the Redeemer figure can be inserted. What??

1) First, the machines wouldn't care. All the people are in pods. Why do the machines care to give the people something to do, (What?) let alone a savior. Why do the machines even want a savior figure? Wtf.

(Wish I was given limitless CGI budget and techniques never before done in film... What ya bet I could have came up with a story also!) "Wow the W bros are so good!" Really? Why wasn't it you or I instead of them. And... would have got rid of plot holes.

2) Unbelievable. 100's of rounds of ammunition firing a second in those scenes, and... no on gets hit (guess what, if continual aim at a spot maintained, doing a cartwheel... ah, how is that going to do anything?)Yet one bullet and a character gets killed. Unbelievable ("Wow, how about those bros.!) 3) So... the final fight scene. Ah, gee Neo, how about using a knife or shoot a gun up close. Done.

But, don't explain that. How convenient. ("Wow, how about those bros.!") more Hollywood BS.

What was it the captian said? Oh yeah, "keep moving."

Instead is a lesson in when encountering a strange predator after you, I know... just stand there. Don't try and get to the door ahead. Or when have a lead, do stop and see the bigger predator. Do give it time to get you. Whatever you do, don't just move and get to the door 10 feet away. Brilliant.

You have to be reverant for the events that happend. Okay, but technical...

Let's back up. First.... you have a 300' ocean vessel, charted to do sat divinf operations, certificated pilot to captain it, and... you spend the first 10 minutes watching the computer go out, and then decide hey, lets pilot the ship... are you kidding? No one knows how to turn the massive deisle engines on manual and control the helm and steer it manulally back to the dive spot... are you kidding us?

Well, we get that had to fill to get your 1.5 hour cinema time frame, but... you could have spent more time on the afterlife side that Chris was accepting, than scenery photos for ten minutes with soleful music.

sure enough
2 October 2021
It happened. Was waiting for it, and happened- going along with content, some could even be one-act scenes... then gotta bring out the (not too) subtle blue pencil check off list, make sure checking off the intersectional, cancel culture, subverted expectations, CRT, WOKE agenda boxes.

And why isn't he gay with his roommate, Arturo Castro as Victor? How insensitive. Missed a check box.

(And what is up with that actor Arturo Castro, as Victor...? Looks like holding it together, but default persona would like to take advantage of the current trend, and lash out.... Maybe he had it bad, so it's a white males fault. I can see that in his eyes!) Am I wrong? (Maybe have an opening on new Dexter show).

Episode ten: trying to get by the usual discounted, defense posturing dialogue exchanges, such as, he talks about a current song... has the drums left to dub; most difficult to do.

She naturally asks when he would be finished?

"What... I have to be finished(?)" Ah... it's a song, you're composing... usually songs have a beginning and then end/finale.

All that cryptic convoluted dialogue going on, then to get the blast of: ..."you're a privileged white male... that's why you also don't finish things" (wtf?) (And the previous episode with his dad was about traits of addiction and dysfunction).

(And, should step down even aftter completing teacher credential

To which he apologies. Yeah, check.

I suppose if someone stabbed him (a likely occurrence walking at night in Van Nuys) he would be the one to apologize.

Yeah... what indie Hungarian Drama Club that liked Hunger Games and Game of Thrones and thought... let's do that too!

And pitched to Netflix must of been like, "We wrote Hungarian Games... well cobbled onto the story arch from Harry Potter's Durmstrang Institute for Magical Learning, but only can do so much with that. We have a drama club, 20's that play Hollywood and try to act like their not....

Netflix: Drama club... pretend to act and no known talent... Yeah, okay we'll pay you. We'll get some of the actors from Harry Potter as well.

Yeah, that's about right.

Did rest of season in ten minutes, just in case. Yup, as I thought. Fill was too much to even search over to ... content, which didn't miss because not really any of unless like to watch the Community College Theatre stage production of Hunger Games.

Couldn't turn off fast enough.

Like clock work. You could set your watch to it. Had this Colonel Mitchell, Jack replacement character. for a few shows. Was sort of thinking... what? maybe... safe to watch again? Seems some what logical, of course for a military disposition. Even was noted how he was all service, business. logic thinking, leadership... then, I could just see some producer saying, "ya know what? I think we need to bring back the asinine, one-liner idiocy of Jack, which irritated people so much. They'll love it! I'm so brilliant to know what dumbed down people want."

And, in one episode, the Jack-assness come forth. Baseball hat on backwards, check. Campy idiocy acting, check. Depth of beer and monster trucks, check. No more leadership. Started acting the jack part as if always was never anything prior. God, make it stop.

Please universe make it stop!
12 March 2021
OMG. Made it to Season eight. Watched the first two episodes in like 5 minutes (no, seriously both in 5 minutes). First couldn't get regular disk to play, so started "New Order" with director cut; a bunch of glib Hollywood actors that think people want to see them act campy and sheek as they fail upward and always act like they're auditioning. I would be embarrassed to claim I was the director of this tripe, let alone act like it is so impressive everyone will want to be me, Vomit time).

So... back to the glitchy playing CD, but with out arse voice over. Didn't help. Watch both in like 5 minutes. Had a different one leading end of Season 7, for some PC agenda I guess, who was played by a completely different actress start of Season 8 for same role. Again, no idea why the introjection which ruined the pacing, which doesn't have anyway, but... just so they could put that bit in there. And then do commentaries on how progressive they are, I guess.

Ah, and idiot Jack, same as always. But wait... wonder how such a nit could be a Colonel? Ah, he's more of an irritating one-liner court jester and now... he's a General! Brilliant. About right.

God make it stop.

8 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Gee, the same time as "Predator" came out. Huh....

Anyway, long episode trying to draw out that theme. Kept waiting , thought, for stupid Jack to do his one-liners. The fighting and killing sorta put a dampener on that insanity. Ah, but, nope... still was able to come off with satirical, campy off the wall lines. Sure glad for the needed comic relief... not!

Then get the frequency idea and expose the villian. So, first time started shooting at it (never mind the crowd of people behind it). But is okay because in typicall SG1 fashion noting every gets hit, even with 40 people shooting.

Ah, but Jack picks up the SAW machine gun and shoots in a circle. "Everyone down!" he yells. Good thing the invisible assailant didn't know to do that too!

Then finally it appears again. But, don't shoot it. Do stand there everyone because only have about 5 seconds. And Jack the court jester, who just got done firing a machine gun in a circle over everyone's head... stops and gets his knife. (God, anyone, make it stop).

Wow, brilliant writing. Must of thought the plot holes were invisible too and no one will care if doesn't make sense. Done.

why go there...?
5 March 2021
Jack's idiocy and campy one-liners was suppressed ( and he's a Colonel. Wow. But about right script writing.). Even the usual advanced weapons and gliders that most likely had advance targeting, but soot a million shots close range, and always about 20 yards to the left of target. Why SG1 even run? They won't hit you. And the one shot from a pistol and a mother ship blows up. Even could ignore that usual nonsense somehow. But then the increase in plot holes. Arghhh! Have all the alien high council in room, could release poision, but Daniel doesn't because last member may recognize him. Are you kidding? Ah, release the poison! All the more reason. Done. Unbelievable.

Was also hell to watch
27 February 2021
Can't take the campy. Been watching series. Allowing for the 90's style, it is good scfi. Better script writing than in scfi today. So, getting into it, then just can't take anymore of the campy, one-liners of Col. O'Neill. Obviously someone said "do more of that!", well not surprised. (Majority is of a The Simpsons mentality so had to adjust tv accordingly to bovine audience). Check.

But, was a sophisticated "nerd" following that took the scfi seriously. Then comes O'Neil's, "wow, spare the details." just rush in to a blind situation. Then, "I hate surprises... where's the details" and acting like a bad case of ADHD and low IQ. And, he's a Air Force Colonel...?Great. That's about right.

Then Daniel with...his long.... on set....of ...speaking... words... Arrgh! Where's the stop button!. So much for 11 seasons of something to watch (and nothing else out there, that was a hope. Oh well). (Like "Forever in a Day" when his wife dies and says the I love you bit. Ah... I think you're supposed to say the same(?), maybe fast so she hears, because, ah..., time is sorta fast!? But just usual deer in headlights, long process pausing, and then says the line after dead). Brilliant!

Yeah, I flew too (74 and Douglas MD) Navy, cargo then done. Wish would add more crisis/psych training to crews. I get was a movie, though plot holes are hard to look away on anymore. Noticed situation was left in check until... he got on the dang intercom and started talking! WTH! Just egged them on.

Oh, and don't forget you could be landing in no time, so why start a hostage negotiation and fuel the flames on why you can't open the door! My god. Oh, and they have a hostage. Hmmm... let me think. Oh yeah, you have a hostage too! But whatever you do, don't mention that chip.

Story made to fit plot.
19 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Another piece of dribble; everything but the obvious. Sooo tired of plot holes and we're just supposed to believe it?

No logic in script writing so I guess the writer must be saying. " Doesn't make sense, but just throw in some convention that doesn't work, so I can tell another story. Guess people are stupid anyway. Won't notice that nothing makes sense from A to B. Nah, it'll be fine."

Your partner is infected, so bring him back into only living habitat in LEM and... let creature run around. Actually had it, but nay, don't put it in a bag or such, just let it run around. Damage to ship? What a surprise.

And do take the zombie buddy with you who wants to sabotage and kill you. Always makes sense.

And then, when in Russian LEM, nah, whatever you do don't put your helmet on. Sue can't be more bugs in there. Only have blooded bandages everywhere.
