Worse than I expected
9 April 2024
I would have liked it to be at least funny. It's just an attempt of doing stand-up. It's a show where Catalin Bordea shouts every word, curses every 2 or 3 words, laughs very often at... his jokes. (Russell Peters also does it, for example, but rarely and at least he's funny). The venue is very cold and very dark, the spotlight is only upon him, the audience is filmed very closely and only a few rows in front, it seems like the audience was paid to be there. Sometimes they applaud forcefully, often when... Bordea laughs. I've seen several of his shows, now the jokes are just stale, lacking spice, there's zero attempt to put certain scenes in the correct historical context. They're not even successful as satire. It's a shame, a few years ago he was really good!

La nuit du 12
9 April 2024
This was a pretty good movie. The acting was good, the script, not so much. It had a good start, plenty of mystery to keep you guessing like a good policier. Slowly, the movie got to another level, a more social one, with the investigation in the background.

The social issues, although are worth mentioned in movies, as they are all around us, kind of ripped the movie in two. We got the abuse or domestic violence (against women), we got the life artist that can say anything about anyone with no repercussions, we got the eternal problem: why is this world run by men? Why do men hate women? And so on, in a world when women have more rights than any other period of the history.

Poor movie
9 February 2024
This is the worst Equalizer of all 3. The characters are really really weak. Dakota Fanning's character comes out of the blue, no history behind, gets a big case and all of the sudden the entire CIA is behind her and they win against the Mafia. The mafiosso characters are nothing but dumb dumb people, just like any movie where the main character has to win. The script is awful, huge gaps in it, dumb dialogues which, sometimes, make no sense. There is no link between some of the scenes. It seems like there were short movies that have been added one after another. I wish this series had a better ending.

Good plot
25 January 2024
A good movie, not a great one, but a good one. Some characters are strong and the actors that protraied them did their job. The story is pretty good, some slices of what happens in the city at night, with happiness and sadness, with joy and anger, love and hate, it's all there. For some of them it could have done a bit more, to offer a context, or to find out what happened next, but in the end, as a taxi driver, this is exactly what you see: take people from point A to point B, drop them off and that's it. You go back to your live, you don't know what happend to the ones you travelled with. Good job!

No soul
25 December 2023
This was having a good vibe at the start, as it got a little slow, but there was a story. Once it got deeper into the movie, some actors seem to be unable to play, some scenes had no link between them, just some separate scenes that where added to make a movie. The characteres have no connection, no chemistry, just a bunch of actors playing in a studio, being payed some money at the end of the day and that would be it. Some actors are really bad, no surprises there whatsoever. This is just another failure of Netflix that is trying to impose some things, but never gets to where it should be. Dissapointing. Again.

Interesting, but...
17 December 2023
This is an interesting show, however it is still done in the same North American style: it's always rush, always things are done at the last moment, the deadlines are not realistic most of the times. We hire people to help us, they have no experience, but we expect them to do the same amount of things that the most experienced guys do, we don't speak clearly what is expected of them and give them impossible tasks that it's clear they will not achieve, still we don't care: just get your job done, be very accurate, be very fast because we need things the day before yesterday. These kind of shows are all the same: half of it it's about how late we are with absolutely every project, the other half is about how others are ruining things. :)

Great show
9 April 2023
This was an overall great show. Maybe the last 2 seasons were not at the highest quality as the previous ones, but they weren't that bad.

Cons:
  • sometimes the characters (Scully and Mulder) are having completely opposite way of thinking from one episode to another. Yes, I understand you can change your mind, but that was done suddenly and on the next eposide, they were back to what they originally believed.

  • one you are in the search for your son you cannot have episodes where you are involved in some cases like the son does not exist
  • in real life, when you had a partener for so long, it's not possible to hide some important details (yes, I know, it's a show, the suspense must be kept, still...)
Pros:
  • most of them were great cases, great presentations and acting
  • the characters were interesting and I had a huge surprise seeing how great Robert Patrick and Annabeth Geish were integrated on those 2 seasons. John Doggett and Monica Reyes were very great additions to the show, Doggett especially.

Oh my god
7 April 2023
This was a revelation. This episode was so good concerning what might have happend if we turn over everything to the machines. The acting was excellent, the cinematograpghy was very good, the script was great. This was a 1000 out of 10 stars whatever that would mean. With all the chatgpt and bing ai thing going on right now this is ther 40 minutes cinematography way of thinking if we really should leave all in the hand of the machines. Always do the 10% and you will understand you will be allowed to live. Oh, my, this was so good!!! Wait, taking over the radio station....! Things are getting better!

Hard to watch, but an interesting experience
29 January 2023
This is a movie that you either hate it or try to watch it until the end. You need to have a very strong will to not stop watching it either because you do not understand what is happening or the music is way to loud. It seems there is no time no matter what the characters are saying, it seems there is no connection between the characters, there are not too many information about their stories. It is something very abstract about this and although you try to find out more, at some point you may say: I am not sure if I want to know everything. Excellent performance of Delphine Seyrig, very expressive.

Good movie
22 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This was a good movie. Nicely played, although the script was not so good.

Pros:
  • the production design was great. The colour scheme was excellent
  • the acting of Margherita Buy, Benedetta Porcaroli and Luis Rainieri was very good
  • the dialogue was funny sometimes, it could have been better to even more sarcasm than it already did.

Cons:
  • the script: sometimes it jumped from one scene to another without a connection between them
  • the ending was horrible. It made sense, but the way was put on screen was not believable. (Really?? A guy who is staging his death should runs away instead of confronting the women? It would have been even funnier)

All in all, the movie was good, entertaining.

I tried to like it
15 January 2023
I tried to like it, I really did. With this huge amount of Oscar winning actors, the hopes was really high. Some actors really did try to do their best with the script they were given and many of them did succeed: Margot Robbie, Christian Bale, Michael Shannon, Mike Myers, Zoe Saldana. The script was preety good, however there were times when it seemed it was written by a junior high school child. Things are developing along the way but many times the dialogues appeared to be non-related to this movie. There was much potential for this movie, but something was not "glueing" the action and the scenes.

How bad this was!
4 January 2023
I was expecting this movie to be bad, considering the actors (most of them have no expereince in acting), the script (written by people with no experience in writting a good script), but I certainly was not expecting to be this bad. There is no humor in it (and many of these "actors" are stand-up comedians), the script is very weak, there are a lot of cliché that are adding... absolutly nothing.

There is nothing in this movie that will make you remember anything about it. Only the regret that 90 minutes were lost for watching it. Or maybe, the only good thing, is that this is now the lowest possible bar set when seeing a movie.

I thought it's about the music
1 January 2023
I really thought this movie it's all about the music, but I was completely wrong. It's only about some people arguing, other complaining and Ma Rainey being shown as one huge egocentristic person, reduced to someone that does not care about anything else but her. The movie is boring, the script is weak, the acting, except for Chadwick Boseman, is way beyond what a movie should be.

This should have been a celebration of music, a celebration of great people doing great things, but they are all reduced to small chit-chats, with no story, only for some people to have their agenda present in the movie.

Too many coincidences
31 December 2022
There have been too many coincidences in this movie, only for the plot to go on. Little is being explained about some of the characters and/or about some of the events, this way some actions are left unexplained.

The tragedy surrounding all the characters, on way or the other, is all what this movie is about. There seem to be less empathy on some characters, others needing a lot of attention from the others. The cinematography is interesting in many ways, very colourfull in some scenes, with a lot of implications. The script seem to be cut abruptly sometimes, therefore some explains could have been provided.

Dissapointing
30 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
As many others said so far, this is a dissapointment in terms of story, clichee, characters developments and so on. Nothing new is brought to the movie, except for the water which makes us see about an hour of Nat Geo documentary of the life in the waters. The tribe living there has nothing to reveal to us, a story of their own, the villain is only (?) wanting to kill jake and that is it, the main 2 female characters (tribe wives of the leader) are only wanting to go to war and they scream a lot. You would have thought that after so many years passed Neytiri would be more diplomat about how things happen. But no, she is the same impulsive person that does not think ahead.

Could have been a lot better
27 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The idea of the movie is not bad, with 2 people arguing about things happening in their lives.

The script does have some holes that should have been filled in. Great monologue of Washington about critics, for example, and that is kind of it. Nothing else can/should be noted about this movie.

The acting is... needing a lot of work: Zendaya is doing the exact same thing seen in Euphoria, Dune and Spiderman - dull acting, a lot of superiority looks even if it's not needed, JD Washington does have a great moment with his monologue about the Hollywood critics but that is it. The pretentious man he tries to be, the pretentious life he tries to have is completely erased when he eats "mac & cheese", just like some uneducated man, someone that nobody told him how to eat.

The on and off fighting scenes are going a little bit too abrupt.

The worst Thor movie so far
9 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Thor has been transformed from movie to movie into a mockery of a character. I am not sure Disney is trying to make these kind of movie for dumb and dumber. The humor in the movie was kind of forced into the script; very few moments when the humos was needed.

Some performances were great (Christian Bale, Natalie Portman, the Guardians of the Galaxy), other were simply horrifying (Russell Crowe as Zeus, Tessa Thompson as The Valkyrie King - again, another character transformed into a mockery). The greatest characters in this one were the giant goats.

Useless movie
7 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Bad acting, bad script, bad directing, this was a huge waste of time to watch it. I see that this cannot be a blockbuster, but giving a lion to a circus in 21st century?? That was a bad joke.

Entertaining
6 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is an interesting movie. Way to horror for a Marvel movie, the age rating should be higher! The story was good, the visuals stunning, the acting pretty good.

Although the story was good it did have some flaws:
  • some characters from MC Universe appeared but no explanations were given about them
  • when the 2 Dr Strange met the way to convince the other that the main character is Dr Strange was to say he had a sister who did a long time ago. Who says Dr S from another universe has to have a sister that died in the same circumstances? A long shot for that to happen while travelling in another universe
  • The Illuminati were fun, no idea who they are if you are not an MCU fan
and so on.

slow and pointless
30 April 2022
This is a slow movie, some actors a playing really bad, the script is bad as some wording is not trustworthy. A big part of this movie is useless or too long showing the state of the main character.

Just another sequel
23 December 2021
This is something that was not supposed to happen. The storyline is kind of the same of previous movies, but some actions and characters were useless. It looks like some actors from Sense 8 were promised a role in a more important movie. The acting of the 2 old and major characters is bad. Neo looks like a retarded human being trying to talk dumb and slow.

Mean people
16 December 2021
This used to be a good show. Some of the artifacts are really good and the way some experts are explaining the history and what to watch is great. But the script for this show is so bad. It looks like the people working there are mean, they talk bad things about the others, there is nothing nice they could say about the other characters. They are always being mean in any way, sarcastic beyond common sense, greedy. It looks like they really hate each other. If that was the goal, well, mission accomplished.

Nice show
1 December 2021
I have never played the League of Legends so I no nothing about any characters in the game. This show is greatly done, visually (although sometimes the characters seem not to be greatly drawn - around the mouth for example). The plot is good, the characters are good. Some of them could have been shown more, to add a story to their name.

Low category movie
14 November 2021
It's something that has already been done before. The acting is pretty bad: Reynolds has done the same role again and again, there is no surprise there, Johnson is the same as always, the jungle movie he played in was the same pattern, Gal Gadot was unimpressive. At times I felt like they were not believing in their acting themselves. The plot was predictable, nothing I haven't seen before, from Mission Impossible, to Indiana Jones.

Blink....
28 October 2021
To all actors, please blink if you are being held hostages and you have to play stupid parts. Honest to god! Why would you do such bad movies? IS it for money? That would make total sense.
