Wrong Place (2022)
Bruce Willis gets drunk and kills his wife
Nothing makes sense about this movie. Bruce Willis? He acts I guess. Alice Cullen? She was in the movie I guess.
What even
Are they dating? Cant you call 911 without service? How's he not dead? Hows he not dead? How's she not dead? Wait he's alive? Or dead? Acid pit????
What?? Too many questions
The music? Royalty free never hurt anybody
Could not understand ANY of the dialogue. What was Virgil saying? What accent was he trying to do? What the heck
I feel like this movie is a bunch of nothingness like no scene ties to the other in any way, the time line is all over the place. It's as if The editor was high as balls or smothing.
Girl, Interrupted (1999)
Good enough
I think the novie is good, bu it just didn't click with me. It has an intresting concept and characters, not to mention the great preformances, but its not engaging. The pacing is off, the beginning is slow but thn the end goes by so quickly. I think it had potential to be something like donnie darko, but it was just too much of nothing.
Fight Club (1999)
Great movie!
I think this movie is great, and has a lot of style, I loved Brad Pitt's performance, and the whole first sequence of the movie. I don't like the main characters narrating most of the time, but I think here it really enhanced the movie. I would've liked if the pacing was slowed down, I get that it's part of the style of the movie but I think the twist or ending could've been more impactful if the movie spent more time on the middle-end of the movie. Overall, I think this is a great movie, it surpassed my expectations and it holds up pretty well to this day, the twist also enhances the movie, it makes it more enjoyable on a second watch!
Sound of Metal (2019)
Amazing, one of the best movies i've ever seen
From the acting to the cinematography and editing, I think this movie is incredible. The sound design and editing is great and it makes the scenes so tense. It's an rmotionally heavy movie and it leaves you with a knot down your throat. I can't recommend this movie enough.
Dancer in the Dark (2000)
Emotional and raw
I think this is an amazing film. Björk's preforance is very good and believable, all the emotional scenes are impactful. I think the other preformances were good, and I like that there wasn't many characters. I like the muscial sequences; Björk's boice adds so much value and emotion to them and all the coreography is great. The aspect of the film I like the most would have to be the cinematography, I like the contrast of the shaky close up camera and the more still lanscape shot one that is used in the musical parts. I think the beginning is a little slow, but it ends up working in the movie's favor.
Roma (2018)
A lense into the life...
This movie is so good, and the best exaple of an art film. It has amazing cinematography, the fact that its in black and white adds a lot to the tone and mood; It also had great sound design and the scenary in it was great. It was long, but it felt appropriate, even leaving me wishing it was longer. It's a sad story with no real ending but that's part of its greatness. The acting was very good, the child actors weren't bad at all, and Yalitza's preformance was outstanding, considering she wasn't a proffesional actress before this role. Overall, a groundbreaking film, and one of a favorite movies. It's a great look into the life that Mexico City has, and its working class. it feels alive.
Muppets Most Wanted (2014)
short, forgettable but good enouh
I liked most of the jokes and puns and the random cameos. It was disturbing to see kermit's body and how he ran was so traumatizing, also Constantine action sequences... please. The random prison guard side plot who was a kermit fangirl was so random and should've been more fleshed out or just...gone. It all felt so rushed and I never got invested in anything, I even forgot I saw it. Overall it was fine, entrertaining, fun to make fun of, funny sometimes and just random.
Inglourious Basterds (2009)
The funniest movie I've ever watched
This movie is so great, I liked everything about it: perfect pacing and tone, amazing acting, beatiful cinematography, and of course the best script. There is nothing that I dislike about this movie. I like how cartoonish the characters are, and how they mimick extravagant and goofy nazi propaganda films. I like that most of the main characters die at the end, it's very satisfactory, and even tough I was attached to the characters, I was still happy with the ending.
The Fundamentals of Caring (2016)
Lighthearted funny movie
The movie is very funny and the actor's performances were so good and felt real. The storyline was good and the pacing of the movie felt good, it doesn't feel long at all and it's easy to absorb. My only problem with the movie is that Katy perry exists but Selena Gomez doesn't? Not actually I just got distracted by her being there and her acting/character wasn't strong enough to keep me from getting annoyed. Also all the royalty-free music was awful, so I'm glad they didn't use it all the time. Watch if you wanna have a good laugh along with going out with a good message :D
Suicide Squad (2016)
boring
Went into the movie expecting to be entrertained as in so bad it´s good type of way... however, it was just boring and bland. Nothing was funny enough, there was nothing substantial about the movie, too many ass shots, lame. i guess this could´ve worked but it just didn´t. Also, captain boomerang? anyways just cringe :D
Trainspotting (1996)
Gross in a good way
Love the grossness and shocking images, love the main character's attitude and style, as well as the performance. It was fun to watch and was so funny. The cinematography was amazing too. My only problem is that it didn't feel long enough, it didn't wrap it up correctly, but it's only a personal preference. Overall love it and would recommend but maybe not watch again soon cuz ew
Chicken Run (2000)
Love it :D
It's a very good and well made entertaining movie. I love the smooth clay animation and the whole style of the film, the rain and the setting looked so good and realistically. It's a good movie with a good message and good story and characters, it's humorous and even though there's stuff that doesn't really make sense, it works in its favor. Overall I just love it so so much :D
A Cure for Wellness (2016)
A lot of eels
This movie's tone and whole vibe is engaging, how cryptic and spooky it is at the beginning adds a lot of tension and room for interpretation. A thing I didn't like was how obvious it was with the story about the guy who had a child with his sister, I liked the concept of that but it was too obvious how it was presented. However, I think the setting, camera work, music and characters saved it. I liked the different visual metaphors like the lipstick scene reflecting how she "turned into a woman" and the cow scene. I have to accept the ending felt goofy and the cgi or makeup the lizard looking guy had was distracting; Also the fire and the way they escaped seemed kinda corny. Overall, they tied up all the loose ends but still left room for interpretation and to think about it.
Shutter Island (2010)
Suspected the ending
At the beginning of the movie it was very intriguing and it seemed like a normal police/detective movie and I was surprised to find out it wasn't. When things started to get crazy and confusing I was pleasantly surprised.
Even though it was kind of predictable, I still really liked the story. I liked that the ending still made you second guess yourself and feel in his place; I liked that the whole movie's framing and perspective was of the main character, and that we went into his mind.
A Beautiful Mind (2001)
What even
This movie is so predictable, which makes it very boring. It drags on for way too long after it's finally revealed that he had schizophrenia (emphasis on finally) it still goes on... for some reason? I didn't know this was based on real life for a sec which made it even more confusing, but that's 50% the movies fault 50% mine. If I hadn't realized, i would've only found out at the very end. The coloring was so bad it hurt it went from yellow to green to pink, which hurt my eyes. But I did like some of the movie like the dialogue and the overall performance, the boring factor of it blocked the fact that it's a very beautifully shot movie which makes me mad.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
just sad
If I could give this movie a 0/10 I would, there's nothing memorable about it and it's so badly edited/colored it hurt my eyes to watch it
