Angels & Demons (2009)
"Very entertaining blockbuster"
Before, i began i must say, that English is not my mayor language. I've read all Dan Brown novels. My opinion,he's a very talented writer. I'm also a big fan of Tom Hanks works. I saw the movie yesterday in a Szombathely movie theater. The acting was quite good, the cinematography, and the score to(credit to Hans Zimmer), the screenwriters(David Koepp, and Akiva Goldsman) did a few changes in the plot, but nothing that big.
- Spoiler - The twist at the end of the movie stayed the same, as the novel.Yeah Ewan McGregor killed the Pope. The explosion of the bomb, at the end was well made, it was just how i've imagined while reading the book. - End of Spoiler - Overall, it's a great entertaining blockbuster movie, with stunningly good sets(the Vatikan inside was fully made by the filmmakers, because they don't become a permit) and great special effects. It pleases Dan Brown-Ron Howard-and Tom Hanks fans to.
P.S.: The movie is a bit better, than the Da-Vinci code.
Halloween (2007)
"Great slasher"
I must say i loved Rob Zombie's previous works House of 1000 corpses, and the Devils Rejects.
This movie is a good remake of the carpenter-cult-classic. Great suspense, and gore, bloody killings, and excellent camera-work. The actors are not that great. The "contact"between Myers, and Loomis is ridiculous, and not well written. The girls looks nice, but they are not gonna be the Meryl Streep of their generation. Tyler"sabretooth" Mane looks scary in the Michael Myers outfit. Scout-Taylor Compton got a few funny lines, and she looks like a girl next door. She was an excellent decission for this role.I've give this a 10 out of 10 because of the great directing.
Hostel: Part II (2007)
"Great gore scenes,without god actors"
I was a huge fan, of the first movie. I loved it just like Eli's previous movie Cabin Fever. He was The plot was very simple in part one, this time Roth takes his audience deeper in the "Elite Hunting" organization. And off course we can find out what happened to Paxton(Jay Hernandez), the survivor of the first massacre. The movie has some really bloody, and disgusting torturing scenes. The acting is not that god, like in the first one. It's simply average. Don't expect nothing plus. None of these actors gonna get a nomination for this film. I'm sorry to say that, but neither will Eli Roth. The storyline has a little twist'n'turn at the end, but nothing unusual. The gore is great, at the end the penis chopping scene hurts to even me like hell. If you sit in the cinema with not great expectation's, you just might be surprised. It's worth for a view, but after a year, you will forget this sequel. I really hope Eli is going to be in better shape during the filming of Stephen King's Cell. I give this movie 6 stars out of 10.
Lora (2007)
great movie, whit good actors, and a good script
I saw the movie yesterday in the theater. It was Valentines day, and i took my girlfriend with me. It was a enjoyable movie, with great jokes, but also has for his audience a few tragic moments. This hungarian movie was unique, thanks to Lucia Brawley play, and to the great script. The story has a lot of flashbacks, the writers of this movie must be love Lost. I loved the previous works of Herendi Gabor, Valami Amerika, and Magyar Vándor, but this is far more different. The photography was like in a Michael Bay-Tony Scott film. Beautiful. Just like Lucia. Heartwarming and cute. Anyway, it was great. I give it 10/8.
