Jumper (2008)
The critics are wrong again!
Again, the critics are wrong. If this continues to happen, I may just not look at professional reviews again. Almost all critics panned this movie. I went to see it because of the good reviews from ordinary people on IMDb. This movie was better than most of the science fiction action films. This includes all of the Spiderman series. It held my interest throughout. There were no defects in the movie - the plot, the acting, the direction, etc. were all above average. The special effects were top notch. There was that balance between computer animation and real life video that is so often not achieved. I know, I teach technology courses (including computer animation) at the college level.

Flags of Our Fathers (2006)
One of the soldiers is still alive
Why does this movie not pay tribute to the soldiers that raised the first flag on Iwo Jima under enemy fire?
Although it is made clear in the movie that there were two flags. One, a flag raised under enemy fire and photographed. And, the second flag, raised in a staged photo and later used as the basis for the Iwo Jima monument in Washington D.C. The movie follows the exploits of the three men to survive this second raising.
According to the book "Last Survivors" one of the men in the first raising is still alive today. He is the one who should be most highlighted and honored by the movie.
