El Señor de los Cielos (2013)
Perverse
Ten stars for Ochmann.
Ochmann somehow makes you like a villain/monster. The expressions on Ochmann's face, his cockiness, body language and sarcasm are spectacular. I don't understand all the Mexican-Colombian lingo, but some of the things he says are funny. I find myself laughing every time he laughs. Go figure. He makes it worth watching if you can bare all the Illuminati garbage, signs, colors, references, rituals and hand gestures. The character "tijeras" is also funny.
I found season two barbaric; animal body parts used as lamps and trinkets. By season three, I was nauseated by the constant use of black and white color scheme, all the hexagrams, squares and triangles. Episode 89, Amaya is wearing a black shirt with what appears to be the head of a goat embellished/embroidered in white. So disappointing he partakes in this mentality, and depiction of ranchero attire ruined and disgraced. If you enjoy threesomes and women used as seductresses, this season is full of that.
It's unfortunate viewers don't get to see the beauty, architecture and antiquity of this country or any others used during production.
Black·ish (2014)
Illuminati overload
I get there's dysfunction in every family and old school mentality from older family members and extended families living together. Makes the show relatable and funny. First season, the twins acting was annoying and off. Junior's character seems to be from cookie cutter character form-like Modern Family Luke Dunphy.
The amount of Illuminati symbolism and subliminal messages is over the top. In every episode. Constantly brainwashing viewers with the color RED and constant mention of companies under the Illuminati umbrella is too much. Even in the food, hair and wardrobe, the symbolism and red color is blatant and extreme. The huge one eye on the clothes of two characters was obvious.
Jenifer Lewis and Tracee Ellis Ross look stunning. Ruby is my favorite character. Her crazy antics and old school mentality remind me of some women in my family. The show wouldn't be the same without the character or Lewis's delivery. I realize our country will never heal and it's impossible for the black community to "move on" or "get over it already'' as some clueless individuals want. When there is constant reminder and constant need to look over your shoulder, how could anyone "move on?" The show's constant need to keep Dre on the edge is concerning. Are they setting him up to go awol or psycho? Anthony Anderson looks so tired in some episodes. Please allow his comedic personality to shine.
