Animal Kingdom (2016)
Great show
Has been brilliant up until the latest season they should have just kept the flashbacks to season 4 to tell the story of how smurf met the twins dad a d how she ended up on the road to becoming the woman she became but there's no need for them this season.
We Own This City (2022)
It's okay but
It's okay but it's too slow for a mini series I'd enjoy it more if I knew it had 10 or 12 episodes and it would build slow like the wire . It's just doesn't grip you or keep you engaged and I terested enough in the characters . The story's slow but it jumps around each actor to much to get to k now them . I was really excited for this but it would have been much better as a movie or longer series.
Under the Banner of Heaven (2022)
The mormon version of passion if the christ
When the book came out it really upset the mormon community. Now the series is out and its already getting the same reaction as passion of the christ did. The opening 3 episodes gave been good so far . Reminded me of a religious version of the first season of true detective . I can see why people thinking the first 2 episodes aren'tboring but its worth powering through.to see how the family spirals into madness but if you e read the book you know theres so much more to come . I can bet my house on it that many people will have changed their negative opinions about it once the season finishes . Also Andrew Garfield is excellent as the mormon police detective who's faith is being tested at the same time as trying to solve the murders.
Jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy (2022)
The genius of Jeen-yuhs
Great documentary especially for Kanye fans . Even if your not you won't find any documentary showing every step of an artist from the beginning who has been in the game for over 20 years . It shows everything from him starting off as a teenage producer . His work ethic and the struggle he had to make as a rapper when 90% doubted him . We'll probably see more of these documentaries with modern artists in the next 10 years due to social media and everyone's need to film and take pictures.. but the fact that we have one of the biggest hip hop stars Evers full story every single step of the way is unique and rare . The best thing about it is there's no bull no pushed narratives your basically there with him and his team observing everything that happens
10/10
Best music documentary I've ever seen.
Red Rocket (2021)
To fall then rise then fall again
WOW!!!
Just watched Sean Bakers red rocket and I can't praise this movie highly enough . Simon Rex was mesmerising as the lead and should be up for an Oscar along with the movie and his co-star who played mediums ex-wife . It's 2 and a half hours of trailer trash comedy gold but it's also beautiful in parts thanks to the young actress who played strawberry . I really don't want to mention anything about what happens just that you so t regret watching this gem
11/10.
Fargo: A Fox, a Rabbit, and a Cabbage (2014)
One of the most intensive tv episodes of all time
Wow !!!
Can't believe how amazing this episode was . It had everything you want one minute your laughing away the next your on the edge of your seat with the tense drawn out scenes .
The series is probably the best acting I've seen from Billy Bob Thornton. The way he could change the personas and mood of his character was dinky unbelievable.
10/10.
