I Love Mummy (2002–2003)
Remember when YTV used to show actual good television?

Remember when YTV used to show actual good television? I'm talking about the old school stuff here: Are You Afraid of the Dark, My Hometown, Reboot, Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat, The Hit List (I'm talking about the "Tarzan Dan" version, not the bubblegum ish with Exan, Leslie and Aashna) and even Squawk Box? Now, the viewers are stuck with over the top, cream of the crap: Radio Active, System Crash, The Olsen Twins Special #263475588 and now, this comedic genius of a show, "I Love Mummy." I came across this show one day, and immediately got an eyeful of Nuff, the ancient Egyptian mummy living with the conventional, modern-day family. I stuck around, because I love the mystique of the ancient Egyptian civilization. But this show was just plain ridiculous. The acting is poor. The dialogue is garbage; my friends and I could come up with better dialogue when we're fighting over the remote control. The mummy has an annoying British accent. I'm pretty sure pharaohs did not have Brit accents. The show in general looks like it was filmed in the 1980s. This show is terrible. Nuff is cute, but the show, and the awkward laugh track is BAD!

The Spirit of the Play
24 November 2001
I know that Ken Russel was put under fire so to speak from the critics for his scatological portrayal of the play "Salome", however, this is one version of the play that people just don't forget. With shocking yet theatrical effects, it captures the mysterious and intriguing mood of the play, pouring drama. I mean, I watched the Opera version of Salome...and...needless to say, it had me wishing I was watching the movie instead of the opera!
