Tipline Mysteries: Dial 1 for Murder (2024)
Fantastic!
I love this movie and have watched it quite a few times already! Great story, great acting, great cinematography! It has a real police procedural feeling that goes beyond the usual Hallmark mystery. Chris McNally and Holland Roden are terrific as the leads and have great chemistry. Their banter is so funny and their serious discussions are heartwarming. I love how much they grow to respect and like each other by the end. There is an engaging mystery, lots of comedy, heartwarming interaction, and great action in this movie. I can't say enough good things about it...what a fun movie to watch...every time I see it!
3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost (2023)
A Very Unique and Engaging Hallmark Movie....So Very Special!
From the opening dance scene to the scene at the end, the movie was captivating and heartwarming. Anna is a realtor who has been given the job of staging and selling an old 1920s' mansion. Much to Anna's dismay, the house also includes a ghost... a 1920s era, flapper style, ghost. In addition, Anna and Elliot, her former fiancé , are beginning to reconnect. The developing relationship between the ghost and Anna was fun to watch and their bonding as the movie progressed was very sweet. Anna and Elliot's growing relationship was so natural and endearing. Chris McNally and Julie Gonzalo as Elliot and Anna were great together and Madeleine Arthur as Ruby the ghost was a hoot. Include beautiful costumes, snappy dialogue, 1920s' references , a great old mansion, and a touching ending, and you have a winner! Would love a sequel!
When Calls the Heart: Rock, A Bye, Baby (2022)
Hope Valley at Its Finest
Redemption, hope, love.... It was all there to see. In the end, it's kindness, sacrifice to right a wrong, friendship, relationships, and love in its many forms that's what's important. The writers hit them all!
It was a heartwarming episode that showed why When Calls the Heart is watched and loved by millions!
And it had a very very romantic and long awaited proposal at the end!!
A Tail of Love (2022)
Romance and Rescue!
A very heartwarming, sweet movie! A soldier and the owner of a dog rescue facility bond over their efforts to save the facility from closing. The soldier and a retired military dog begin to bond as they spend more time together. Lots of romance and lots of cute dogs! Even some scenes that brought me to tears! Great chemistry between the leads- Chris McNally and Brittany Bristow! Needs a sequel!
When Calls the Heart: Turn of the Page (2022)
A Gem!!
Elizabeth, the protagonist of the series, has fulfilled a life long dream to be a writer. Her book, while fiction, was written as a "love story" to not just her son but to the community that has supported her. As the reviews begin to arrive, she acknowledges that she needs to accept the good ones with the bad. What really is hard to accept though are the ones that are personal and hurtful.
The writer of this episode, with empathy, affection, and quite a bit of tongue- in- cheek humor, has crafted a story that not only shows that art imitates life, but that art can shine a light on life.
In the end, kindness, love, family, and community win. In a time where it sometimes seems like anything goes, this story went straight to the heart.
When Calls the Heart: Straight From the Heart (2022)
An Absolute Delight!!!
Wow... just wow! Romance, friendship, family, intrigue....so much to see. The gradual redemption of a figure once disliked... the sweet blending of the protagonist, her son, and her suitor into a new family unit......a child struggling to come to terms with an inequity....these are just a few of the themes touched upon in this episode with grace and empathy. Kudos to the writers, producers, actor, and crew for an episode well done. Can't wait for more!
When Calls the Heart: Out Like a Lamb (2022)
Romance, Friendship, Community, Fun-It's All There!
When Calls the Heart has progressed from a c.1910 setting to a current c.1920 setting through its 9 years on the air. Change is coming to the town and this episode begins to show how the community will grapple with it. Family conflict resolution, a second chance at romance and love, mysterious newcomers, community spirit ...it's all still there! It really is a joy to be able to spend an hour watching something that is both heart warming and fun, with some intrigue thrown in for good measure!
When Calls the Heart: In Like a Lion (2022)
Wonderful Premiere for Hope Valley
After eight seasons, the cast/ characters of When Calls the Heart are almost like friends and family. This episode felt like going to a reunion and finding out how everyone has been doing since we last saw them! It was fun, fast moving, and romantic with quite a bit of intrigue included.
