Worst Dreamworks film I have ever seen
As soon as I saw the first images of this film, I knew that I wouldn't like it perfectly because of the animation style, but I thought I'd give it a chance. Especially because I saw that this film is from Dreamworks, who are actually known for making good films.
Unfortunately, what I got was even worse than the animation style.
Next paragraph contains slight spoilers:
Roughly speaking, it's about an alien species fleeing from another alien species and therefore taking over Earth to hide from it. However, the main character then makes a mistake that could lure the enemy aliens to the species on the run. Because he accidentally presses a much too easily placed "Send to All" button and sends out a party recommendation to the whole universe... and this kind of logic goes on all the time...
The jokes are all completely unfunny. At most, young children will find them funny, which is probably the film's target audience. But even young children can be expected to have a higher standard.
The story is incredibly predictable, much more so than in some other animated films.
For whatever reason, the aliens speak in incredibly bad German. Based on other reviews, I also realised that it's probably the same in the OV in English.
Inappropriate pop music is constantly played in the film. This makes the movie seem as if it were purely a product placement for some singles.
Again, slight spoilers:
Of course, the movie ends on a positive note, as is classic. Without giving too much away, this only happens because you need a positive ending for a children's animated movie. This little speech wouldn't convince anyone in a good film and certainly not to this extent. Suddenly everyone respects the main character for no reason and shares his vision. That doesn't fit at all.

Great, even though the series comes from Germany
This series is simply brilliant. Especially when you consider how much the series cost and where it comes from. You're hardly ever used to anything good from German series. But it could also be because the series was not produced by ARD/ZDF or Constantin Film, but by Darcel Studios, which is known for producing good little indie series.
The main character, the silverfish chicken, is just so infinitely lost that it's incredibly fun to watch. He makes a lot of really rash decisions and statements, which carries the series.
My favorite character is Marvin, he's really funny and intelligent, he almost deserves his own series!
