Brawl in Cell Block 99 (2017)
Excellent movie experience - hits hard
This movie stays on point and leads up and up and up on a gut wrenching personal journey. Even after reading a few reviews I didn't anywhere close know what to expect, and I'm so glad I didn't. It may feel slow at the start and there might be ideas you think where it's going, but that fades away and it hones down to a razors edge of suspense.
The running time is long, but honestly none of it is wasted. It's well worth the time to watch and put full attention towards. Somehow I felt that was going to be the case early on and wow was it ever. In a visceral way I even wanted it to be longer. If there's any emotional aspect to your psyche, you will feel something here. You'll be drawn in.
We've never seen Vince Vaughn like this and I was blown away by the result.
The Gray Man (2022)
We forced ourselves to keep watching, but it never got better.
This was like watching the travel Channel if they threw in a random action seen once in a while. They must've spend most of the acclaimed budget on travel as about every 10 minutes they're in some big new location, but it didn't advance the mediocre plot whatsoever.
We've seen everything in this movie countless times before, and in better ways.
Really everyone just seemed to phone this one in. 'Gray' is best used here to describe the sheer blahness of this movie - from the plot to the acting to the direction.
Rodney (2004)
Lighthearted and hilarious
Just found this show on YouTube. One of the best family-ish sitcoms I've ever seen. A shame ABC didn't continue it. I'd have watched every one. Twice.
Cosmic Sin (2021)
A must see movie - or else you'd never believe how truly bad it is.
We had hoped this would be so bad it's good, but no. Every single element from the script to the acting to the lines - painfully cringe worthy awful.
Did Bruce lose a bet or something?
My wife just told me she wants a personal apology from him for subjecting her to this.
Fortunately, after watching this we can now both start collecting disability as we've said goodbye to countless brain cells.
The Tomorrow War (2021)
Most fun I've had with a movie in a long time
This is 100% worth a watch. I'll admit some of the recent previews had me down on it but I was still looking forward to this movie more than any other in quite some time. And it delivered. This was so fun and had some absolutely amazing moments both personal and action/direction wise.
The most entertaining in quite some time. Well done!
