The Callisto Protocol (2022 Video Game)
7/10
Good atmospheric sci-fi horror
25 December 2022
Big fan of the first two dead space games, but this isn't dead space and I didn't expect the same game.

Sure there are similarities but they didn't bother me. Visually the game is stunning and I liked the atmosphere, for me it had an Event Horizon, Alien feel to it.

Is it the scariest game ever? No. Does is it have the best story? No. But hey this is like a sci-fi B movie, you like it or you don't.

The combat worked fine for me. I did find the world a bit empty, as in the same few posters and a soda machine everywhere. This took away a little bit of the illusion.

Is it worth full price? Well that depends, for me it was but I love sci-fi horror. If you think sci-fi horror is meh then wait for a discount.

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain (1996 Video Game)
8/10
I hope they remake this title someday!
22 August 2022
In the age of remakes and remasters the legacy of Kain series is still overlooked. Blood Omen was the first mature RPG on the ps1 and I was blown away at the time, by the gameplay, story, music and superb voice acting! (This still holds up today) For me this game was higher on the list then the soul reaver spin offs.

Wasteland 3 (2020 Video Game)

Love letter to pop culture and RPG's!
28 June 2022
I played Wasteland 2 in the past, so I was familiar with universe. The third instalment delivers more of the same and I wouldn't want it any other way!

The battle system takes some getting used to if you never played a top down rpg before, but I reckon these type of games mostly attract certain type of players. I love the many many references to gaming/ movies, crypto and popculture in general, I found myself laughing out lout multiple times!

This isn't a game you play for the visuals but it definitely has improved since Wasteland 2. Voice acting is top notch too! If you like games like Divinity you'll probably like this too!

Toss a coin to 'The Witcher Nightmare of the Wolf'
25 August 2021
When I saw the trailer, I thought it was a limited series like Castlevania, but unfortunately it was a movie, with was great mind you.. But I would've liked more of this!!

Vesemir is a cool character, though it takes a bit getting used to a more cocky version instead of the wise mentor.. (But he still has about 100 yrs to grow) Nice to see more about the origin of the witchers in Kaer Morhen.

Also the animation is great, and Theo James voice suites the character. I read in some reviews that the movie was to woke, but I never once thought this. (Like Masters of the Universe for ex. Where it was blatantly obvious)

The movie has a cool atmosphere and if you liked Castlevania, you will like this movie!!

Jean-Claude Van Johnson (2016–2017)

JC really has a knack for comedy!
19 July 2021
As an old school Van Damme fan I was delighted by this show! JC was my childhood hero and I love the first era of his movies. I never thought he would do so well in a comedic setting. The show doesn't take itself too serious and JC also parodies himself continuously. He still has the moves though, so if you' re looking for a comedy (The style felt like a mixture between Archer & ash vs evil dead) with some martial arts and of course Van Damme! Check it out! Only downside is there are only 7 episodes .
