The Hours (2002)

Completely Riveting

I watched this movie for the first time yesterday morning. After watching it, I mowed the yard and couldn't stop thinking about it. It moved me in a way that no movie has in quite some time. All of the performances, including facial expressions and body language, even that of the child actor, were very believable and impressive. Even the score was perfect. I took the movie to a friends house last night and watched it again. I'm going to watch it again today.

If you like dramas and have an empathetic nature for matters of the heart, you will absolutely love The Hours.

Gripping Until the End

I watched this with my roommate Saturday night and I must admit that it had me on the edge of my seat, until the very end. The special effects and camera work is very impressive. It is what it is, a fun movie that has some redeeming qualities. Believe me, I've seen worse and some that weren't this fun. This is definately not a keeper but it should be viewed once.

Fun Filled Family Dysfunction at its Best

Holly Hunter and Anne Bankroft are exceptional in this film. Family dysfunction at its best loaded full of animosity and plenty of surprises. This film captures the human spirit and shows the emotions involved when we ask "what could have been".

Makes Us Reflect On The Choices We Make In Life

This is not like any other Woody Allen movie I've seen before. He writes and directs this film which hits many levels of the human heart. The acting is well performed and the subject matter makes you reflect upon your own life and the choices you've made along the way. This one is to be added to your collection.
