Pumpkin (2002)

What the heck?
1 July 2003
Warning: Spoilers
*Possible Spoilers Ahead*

I Just saw Pumpkin and I was stunned by how bad the movie was. The acting was very poor and the plot was not well done neither. My biggest problem is you expect this important message of social conformity, finding ugliness in what is acceptable, and finding beauty in what is unacceptable but it just does not come out the way that it should. The message is rushed and you do not feel taken in by the characters, Carolyn and Pumpkin. Frankly, at the end of the movie I didn't feel for what happened to them or any of the other characters.

Ice Cream Man (1995)
The funniest movie of all time!!
27 February 2002
This has to be one of the funniest movies of all time. I can't imagine them making anything worse then this. Just from the opening scene you can tell that this movie will be worth every cent you used to rent it at the video store. It starts with an ice cream man unknowingly getting loaded with bullets (remember that there are vigilante groups everywhere trying to get rid of ice cream men). The greatest scene must be when the girl comes home to her minister father and him telling her that "the angel Gabrielle is speaking through your mother again". Every time I think about that scene I can't help but laugh. Trust me this movie is worth everything you spend on it.

Needed much improvement
10 December 2001
I will start my complaints with this movie in a few very easy to follow statements. This movie has some of the best effects I have seen in a long time. I will admit that on my standpoint, but this leads to its downfall. The acting in this movie is very bad. They at least needed to find an actor who had some sort of talent for playing Harry Potter without basing it on an actor that looks like him. The characters are very undefined and undeveloped. Harry Potter doesn't once question what is happening to him and just lets it happen. He never changes and seems to show very little emotion. The main villain is very undefined and in the end, no one really knows what his deal is and does anyone really care. The movie is very long and very sugar-coated to say the least. The plot is very thin and really sucks much out of the imagination. the plot was something that you could only really enjoy if you read the book. I believe the director and producer was under the assumption that everyone read the book before viewing. This movie is only aimed at little kids and other people who watch this movie realize this too because there is very little they can get out of this movie beside its high budget and effects. In other words, this movie left me cold and unfulfilled.

Not again
10 December 2001
I didn't think the movie industry would have to sink that low but it did. The only difference with this movie is that people actually know it is a bad movie. I just don't understand society when they can make a movie like this that has such little caliber. The acting is lack for a better word: atrocious. I think even saying it is atrocious is being nice. Junior is now growing up and now hitting puberty is even worse. God, couldn't they have at least came up with a more intriguing plot than the others. I could hear them talking in about this movie's plot. "Instead of having Ben find a woman lets put Junior at puberty and have him try to find a girl but also have Ben still try to find a girl! What a twist to the series, I am a genius!" Nice try, but i don't buy a love plot with a 10 year old.

Problem Child (1990)
Horrid!!!
10 December 2001
This is the film that started possibly the most annoying trilogy in history. When I was little I may have thought Junior was funny but as you hit puberty you get to see that Problem Child is the worst excuse for a "lox brow" comedy. I don't know what they were thinking when they made this movie( especially spawning off it, 2 more sequels). Not only is this movie annoying but it is also annoying. There is almost no repercussions for Junior's bad behavior and it is constantly fostered by Ben Healy. The only lesson someone can learn from this movie is that you can receive all the attention from being a misbehaved child. The movie lacks morals and anything that would make it less annoying.

Batman (1989)

Its Jack Nicholson!
1 October 2001
Truly the greatest thing about the movie is Jack Nicholson. He makes the movie what it is. After watching that movie, there is no way you can say that anyone could have played the Joker as well as he did. He just soaked in the role like that was his calling. I think this is possibly one of Jack Nicholson's greatest performance(except for The Shining). I encourage everyone to salute Jack Nicholson!

Poorly Done Fun!!
1 October 2001
It is the fact that this movie is so bad that makes it so great. The bad acting and horrible directing is key. Just watching the trailer of this movie makes me laugh hysterically. I recommend watching this movie with a bunch of friends and pizza and beer. It will be a great time had by all. You will laugh all night long!
